This is how it's done.

Ahh, memories, he was one of the best, but I think lord Charles vocabulary would be very different these days.

One of my favorites since the 1960s,
Ray Alan remains pretty much without peer in the lip control department. I perhaps don't do it as well as he does, but he demonstrates here the method I've used and taught for years...that the vent's mouth should look relaxed and "natural", and not stuck in a fake smile or otherwise artificial position.

Great technique, great character, and great comic delivery!
A triple threat in the vent world.

What Matt wrote pretty well sums it up.

I saw him live. It was amazing.

I also saw him live at a convention in the north east of England. It wasn't many years ago and I am happy to say that Lord Charles was just as he always has been. Ray Alan had a mixed age audience laughing so hard, I swear I had tears running down my leg. A true master & I feel so lucky to have seen him live.

An incredible performer, and a gentleman too! I wish I'd been told about his puppet auction before the event, rather than afterwards!

Timing is everything at auctions. Especially the time to be there!
