I was hoping to ask the group
If you knew a good way to do a nice color change
with sponge balls
Meaning , if I have a yellow sponge in my left hand, or if it is sitting
on top of my closed fist
(on top of my thumb/forefinger)
and concealed in finger/thumb palm a red sponge ball in my right hand ,
resting down near my right leg
Is there a nice way to exchange them and make it appear well that the
yellow one
is now red...
I know in coin magic it's pretty easy , as one can have Centavo in the
left hand and perform a French drop as the right hand comes over with a silver half
dollar in thumb palm and replaces it....
But that doesn't work so well with 2" sponges...
clearly I could just switch them , in the usual way one produces ball after ball, again and again
But I was looking for a visual color change of the ball right in front of the spectator.

Thanx for your time, and for reading

This isn't exactly what you described but it's an option.

Thank you sir

You are correct by saying that gimmick isn't exactly what I was looking for.
I am aware of the Bizzaro gimmick , and thank you for responding/
I was intrugued by this Benson Bowl routine and the sponge ball color change
that occurs at around one minute 20 seconds
I would like to learn something similar...not sure of his exact move there

Brad Burt's Basic Sponge Ball Video/DVD shows a very visual CC and also check out the size change from small to large.

A guy named Scott Strange put out a dvd with a nice sponge ball color change. Not sure if it is what you are describing but is a nice visual change. Search for it on Penguin, it is called Oddballs.

Thank you Tim and BWind

Much appreciate your time and advice.

BWind - I just fast forwarded thru Brad Burts DVD and found the switch I think you speak of, where the small sponge is switched to the large.
Looks good...Is the color change the same move ? When I FF thru the DVD , I didn't see where he did a color change; I could have missed it.

Tim - I shall consider purchasing Oddballs , and thanx again for your help !
