Have you tried to access the imaging site Laurie? I've tried at least a half dozen times without success.

Thankyou for posting, Bob. They're experiencing an overload of traffic, they say. A lot of people want to help, it seems. I'll continue to check back with them, too (not too often, though, if that's the trouble!), hoping I can contribute to a productive degree.

"UPDATE March 11: We are working to best handle an unprecedented level of web traffic and interest in supporting the search. Please check back soon. We have new imagery collections planned for today and hope to make those images available online for the crowd as soon as possible."

Wouldn't it be cool to see in the news that Magical Laurie found the plane via internet images?

"Malaysia dispatched search planes Thursday to examine an area where Chinese satellite images show what might be debris from the missing Malaysian jetliner, but urged caution over the findings.

Vietnamese officials said the area had already been 'searched thoroughly' in recent days...."

"...Hishammuddin described the multinational search as unprecedented. Some 43 ships and 39 aircraft from at least eight nations were scouring an area to the east and west of Peninsular Malaysia."
