Message: Posted by: KSan (Oct 2, 2014 02:43PM)
Hi guys!

I have question/request from my client(agency). They create an event for his client and I have to do magic with Pringles.

https://www.google.pl/search?q=pringles&espv=2&biw=1440&bih=767&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=FqktVLPuKsHgyQOv44KABA&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ#imgdii=_

I have to use pringles in my act. Few tricks. Stage.

For now I have these to propose to they:
- transofrming box of confetti to one box of pringles
- producing 2 boxes of pringles from drawer box
- changing paper to paper with pringles logo (bill swith, but is too small I think)

Any other ideas?
Someone could help?
Thank you in advance. :)

I hope that is the right place to ask for this.

It would be somewhat difficult, but it would be cool to do a misers dream with Pringles. Gluttons Dream! :jesterhat:

Ropes and Pringles can penetration via Grandmas Necklace...

Rig up a tall narrow square circle and produce a full can from an empty tube.

Have a member hold a full can between his hands and do a silk penetration.

They could be perfect as a Niffen tube.

Get a Bengal net, crush up a huge pile of them, feed them into the net, then restore them.

Don't forget a shuttle pass (?) with one chip, have them blow on the fist, the Pringles disappears....snap your fingers. Point at your mouth....And you start chomping...it has appeared in your mouth.

You can make a fake one out of Friendly Plastic.....pick them out of the air.

And don't forget the lids...what all could you do with them?

Pack a tube with rope, scissors, etc that you might use for a trick.

If you are a card guy...think about a deck with letters on the back, and the selections end up spelling Pringles.

Or just have a stack and a good false shuffle and cut, with a story that ends up "Pringles"

The curry Swindle Count (?) would work great, them telling you how to deal, and they end up spelling PRINGLES.

Can you tie in Do The Cards Match, somehow?

Does Pringles have their own decks of cards? Check out customer services, who could steer you to the proper department. If so, they'd probably be happy to shoot you a few decks.

Have fun.

There is a version of Passe Passe Bottle with Pringles. Well, with something that looks like Pringles but you could change the labels and stuf.

Hope that helps.

Rick Johnsson had a great trick with a Pringle's can, an apple, and a ball. He said the Pringle's can was an alphabetizer; he would roll in the apple first, then the ball. When he rolled them out, the apple came out first then the ball. It is in one of his lecture notes. This is more of a close-up than a stage effect though. If interested, I can see if I can find the reference.

As someone mentioned there's the passe passe Pringles they also make multiplying Pringles (like multiplying bottles). The trick may be a bit expensive but if the money is good, or you can reuse/resell the trick. It seems like it'd be good to perform.

My kids make "duck lips" with two Pringles chips in their mouth. I could see doing the same then producing a rubber duck...or something sling those lines.

How about a Mental Choice or Free Will type of pseudo mental effect with different Pringles cans?

Don't know if this is too late, but a while ago I realized a stack of pringles is a lot like a deck of cards. I toyed with the idea of having a spectator signing a pringle and having the stack "shuffled," and then doing a Cookie Cutter style location of the signed chip by eating all the others. Not exactly a stage effect, but someone could pull it off.

Hannibal has a routine that revolves around a small can of Pringles. I have his 2 dvd's, great to watch from a Magic point of view, but none of his routines resonate with me.

So I've played around with an idea for a pringle tube vanish. You just print a flat template of the pringles tube, glue it into a cylinder shape and place the plastic lid on top. Now you can take it, place it in a bag and crush it to effect the vanish. Just an idea but maybe you will find it useful.

If you don't know, Drop a magnetic ball in a short Pringles can, instant chop cup.

A real Pringles can could be made into a type of "Strato-Sphere" illusion pretty easily. Just cut the bottom out of the can and find some objects at the dollar store or party store to exchange places within. The top of the can would have to be modified as well if you understand this illusion. A little "Hot Glue Gun" and a piece of sponge would probably do the trick.
