I'm really confused Gallagher as ti why on this particular forum that people aren't going nuts for this....arguably the king of street magic talking about his work and so few street guys tuned in....surprising

I really enjoyed it. I watched it over twice and soaked up as much knowledge as I could. With this and Chris Capehart's lecture, man, so much value for the $5 I'm dropping. I plan on hitting the streets on a specific date in January and these lectures have helped me tremendously.

I am sure that other street performers like my self talked to Cellini in his very latter years and have alcove stories of their own that are too sad share.

I remember this like it was yesterday, the last time I talked to Cellini. He agreed to be our VIP guest he was just going to hang out with the students of the School of Busking - this was going to be epic. Unfortunately three weeks running up to the event, he had a stroke from which he never recovered.

Cellini last years and home was in Europe he spent his last years in Switzerland with his wife just around the corner from his long standing (over two decades) student and friend to the very end, Horbi Kull,
Horbi Kull is a very unassuming gentleman and a good friend of mine.
The founder of http://www.zauberbar.ch/en and supplier of Cellini Cups, pouches, Books and DVDs.
Horbi and Cellini story is most interesting, he has lost alcoves (history) photos, letters, paintings from Cellini that one day will I suspect end up in a museum as the Cellini lost alcoves. (may he rest in peace)

How much money is going to Marianne each month!

I'm not crazy about the idea that you're using Cellini to recruit new subscribers to your magazine after the man has died

And if I'm wrong I apologize but that's exactly how it looks.

Am I wrong. I hope so

Dmoses, I'm glad you like it. We shot footage of Cellini in New Orleans, Baltimore, NY, Boston, Denver, Myrtle Beach, Greensboro....all over the country and all this footage was found a few months ago. I didn't really know what to do with it. I could have put out a dvd but didn't feel comfortable with that......so I decided to just give it to subscribers to the magazine. I felt it was historic and although I will never get my money back on this stuff I knew it was important for people to see.

As I said I'm glad you like it and I'm letting you know theres a ton more coming.......im currently working on the New Orleans lecture footage..... theres more after that...

Kozmo next to Genii Magazine your reel magic magazine online subscription is one of the best value things a magician can spend their money on when it comes to the internet. Keep up the great work mate.

Best $5 I've spent in a long time. Still only halfway through.

I'm pretty sure that the entire time I knew Cellini he didn't particularly like me. Looking back, it's understandable. I was a real jack-hole back then, and if he'd told me to go get screwed he'd have been justified in doing so.

That said, he was one of the best friends I ever had in magic, and, more particularly, busking. The things he taught me are responsible for me being able to actually make a living doing this stuff. His willingness to freely teach someone like me speaks volumes for his character, and I only wish he was still with us so I could thank him and apologize for not showing him more respect when I knew him.

Even if looks like crass commercialism, five bucks is nothing compared to what you'll learn from him. Sitting in the back room of a magic shop with him and burning a number I learned more about busking than I'd learned in my first three years of street work, and I credit the man with my ability to make more than seven dollars a day now. He wasn't a king, he was a god walking the earth, gracing us with his knowledge and wisdom, and wherever he is now, I hope he knows how much he changed my life, and how grateful I am for it.

I was there for a lot of the video shooting in NOLA, and I fondly remember chatting with Cellini off to the side while Sonny Holliday was doing the show that's a part of the videos. It's one of my most treasured memories.

Anyone who's debating whether it's worth five bucks to hear the man speak on busking has no idea what it's really worth. I'd give the little finger off my right hand for a chance to sit with him for just one more hour and hear him speak.
