Topic: "Flip and Tell" - impromptu, close-up mentalism |

I just released "Flip and Tell," an impromptu piece of close-up mentalism that uses no gimmicks: you demonstrate clairvoyance (or mind-reading), then your participant does - and then you finally show that you had predicted everything! The effect: You and your participant each have a collection of coins before you. You and she take turns secretly flipping over your own coins until she is completely satisfied that neither of you could possibly know the heads-tails orientation of the other's coins. You now cover a coin of yours and she covers one of hers. Yet you are able to tell the orientation of her covered coin - and then she is able to do the same for yours. Finally, you reveal that you had predicted both results ahead of time! You can purchase it here - and view a trailer as well: http://www.lybrary.com/flip-and-tell-p-811928.html I hope you enjoy it. (And thanks again to Mr. Mindbender and Richard Osterlind for encouragement and suggestions.) |

Does what it says in an easy, fun and EFFECIENT manner. Nothing difficult about this, no slights. Worth the asking price of 6$ for closeup one on one propless mentalism. After this you could perform your favorite which hand like my favorite tequila huslter. J |

Really enjoy the video and looks like a fun effect. Kind of trick I am looking for but not sure I really get the magic here... Wonder if it can be repeated ? (I mean continue with the other coins) Thanks |

Thanks, John. Hi, papawemba. As in the video, when you divine her coin's orientation and she divines yours, you've of course had an opportunity to see each other's remaining coins. So continuing at that point wouldn't be too impressive! But you could put your screen back up and say "Let's do it again!" and repeat the procedure. The magic comes in doing what seems impossible: determining the orientation of a coin she's chosen among many coins whose orientations have been randomized to her satisfaction. And then her doing that for your coin - despite her protestations that she cannot! Regards, Alexander |

I haven't used this yet, but I like the effect and method. Yes, it could be repeated. Mike |
