Doug Henning's World of Magic IV (Dec. 14, 1978):

Notes: Features Brooke Shields & Tom Bosley. His last live special, due to the numerous on- and off-stage foul-ups that plagued the production. Watch at the 17:30 mark, where Doug accidentally exposes a table used to vanish (not to mention how quickly and professionally the assistants cover it up!). In addition, the special was supposed to have a touching finish with ducks and baby chicks, but one of the tigers got loose backstage, and ate them.

Scott, thanks for the effort! 👏🏼
It's a pleasure watching Doug's work.

How did you hear about the Tiger getting loose,
and eating the Ducks?
Just curious.

Thanks again,
Gallagher

I originally heard that from Pete Biro. It's also been confirmed through mentions in various stories about Henning over the years.

Doug Henning was the man that got me loving magic. It was his first special, I was only 9 yrs old at the time but I loved it. I wish he was still with us today. I think he was an inspiration to a lot of kids in the 70's.
