Topic: Please help with Wizard's Manual purchase
Message: Posted by: Yiorgos (Jun 13, 2018 01:00PM)
Dear friends
On Christmas Day last year I ordered The Wizard's Manual by Doc Hilford from the website that sells his products http://www.ientertainer.net/store/docc-hilford/product/wizards-manual
Although I was able to access the download aspect of the purchase I never received the book. I contacted the ientertainer website and they wrote back telling me that they forwarded the message to Doc Hilford and that he will answer me when he has the time. This has never happened. I also tried to contact Doc Hilford through the Magic Café messaging and still no reply. I wrote more emails to ientertainer and none of them was answered. Do you know if Doc Hilford has changed his email or contact info? Could someone help me to get in contact with him? Did anybody else have a similar problem? What do you suggest I do?
Many thanks for your time!

If you used PayPal, you should file a claim.
If you used a credit card, call your CC company.
I'm sure you received emails wanting you to buy something since then.

Thank you Sponge. I will do so. Still I find it crazy this kind of experience that such a well known mentalist treats customers like this.

Many a well known mentalist have done worse. Caveat Emptor on dealing with guys that produce lots of stuff and promote heavily. The Café has hundreds of threads on it - although they have removed many of them.

Hello Yoorgos,

This is the first I've heard from you.
So I'm sorry we missed each other.

You may not have heard.
I've been in a serious car crash and therefore have been unable to answer the 200+ emails I receive per day.
In the future, my personal email address is:
My cell phone number is 305-330-3811
Please feel free to TEXT me any time.
Or leave a voice mail.
That goes for anyone of my customers.

But for God's sake do NOT file a claim.
I'm a one man operation.
I'm not a giant machine like Penguine.
File a complaint with Me.

Thank you,
I look forward to hearing from you.
Not in a PM here though.
I'm seldom here.

PS Sponge... No more advice, please.
It's not helpful.
If you wanted to help, why not try to help find my number or email or my HOSPITAL ROOM.
I've been here 40 years and NEVER not made an order right.
Wow, time flies.
Thanks, man.

Yiorgos, did you ever get the book?

Yiorgos: Like RonCalhoun, I too would like to know whether/how your issue was ultimately resolved. I hope you finally received your Wizard's Manual, but if not, then I think you would have been perfectly justified in filing a claim with either PayPal or your CC company after 10 days to 2 weeks of non-delivery and no response from the seller. We live in a world of high-speed delivery and communication these days with expectations of quality service ever rising. Any seller who chooses to do business in such a market environment should stand ready to provide service at nearly the level of Amazon, eBay or Walmart even if he is working off his dining room table. It's just the way things are now.

I assumed it was resolved between the two of them, otherwise Yiorgos would have posted otherwise.
