I have plenty of silks. But they are thin and they are slightly transluecent.

On Roth's UCM, he uses a very nice looking, thick silk that cannot be seen through whatsoever. I was wondering if there is a location or a dealer that sells these?

Look for "pocket squares" in any upscale men's clothing store , such as Jos. A. Bank ----

These are thicker gentlemen's silk handkerchiefs and are opaque . They don't compress as much as standard thin silk sold in magic shops so they're not good for productions or vanishes , but it sounds like that's not what you want it for anyway .

Here's a couple of other places selling them online :

Standard size for pocket squares is about 11.5" square , so if you need something larger you may have to look for scarfs . It's difficult to find silk scarfs that are at all masculine looking , but you can find them if you try .

I picked up some really nice looking patterned silk scarfs at The Met Store locally . They have branches all over the U.S. , but you can order online

Here's an example :

The ones I bought were more of a "prarie" Frank Lloyd Wright-style design , if you know what I mean . Strong geometric design . They don't appear to be available anymore , but they might come back in stock . The ones I bought were 100% silk, but heavy and opaque .
Check the Met Store site often as they frequently add new items and designs.

I appreciate your help.

Probably what you have is a polyster or acetate blend fabric. This truly will probably work better for your coins than pure silk.

If you need it opaque, you are going to have to go at least 8 momme and probably 10 or more.
