Topic: Cardboard Connection

I have Paul Harris’ “Cardboard Connection,” I’ve had it for years. I’ve practiced it many times. It’s not a difficult trick, move wise...

I’ve never performed it for anyone. In the end, I don’t like the way the “linked” cards look. It seems to me that “linked” cards would hang, these don’t.

Has anyone else done this trick? Am I overthinking this?

Is it like Paul Harris’s Immaculate Connection? The card does hang.

Ah, he improved it! No, in CC, the cards stay flat against each other.

A +1 vote for Immaculate Connection. Just be aware that in this one you are linking one card to 2 others. I have performed it and I do like that it has the different phases, makes it more interesting and has a great flow to it if you use the routine that Harris provides with the manuscript. This was released in the Stars of Magic series originally.

Well, Tannen's doesn't seem to have it. I'll look at the "Stars" set.

Wravyn I haven't performed Paul Harris’s Immaculate Connection for a long time thanks for reminding me how good it is :)

OK, I got in touch with Bruce Hetzler and bid on his copy of "Immaculate Connection." I can't find the private messages he and I shared.
He said I'd probably get the item Tuesday, it showed up today! So that was cool. Also, I want to point out that he shipped the booklet with a piece of shirt cardboard for reinforcement. I was very impressed with his thinking ahead. Haven't had any time to actually work on the trick, but I'll have my kid video me when I master it, it won't be David Copperfield, but I'll do the best I can!

I've got a copy of Paul Harris Stars of Magic vol. 1,2&3 If anyone is interested. Mondo nifty invisible palm aces or imacculate Connection is worth the price of the dvd itself imo. They are both on there w/ a wealth of other good stuff! $12 shipped to conus only. Just my $.02

Thank you DB. But at the moment, I'm struggling with some chronic depression which is making it difficult to get a handle on the stuff I have, much less take on new things. Take care.

I found PH was a good source to keep my depression at bay.

Used it for years as well but I don't do the whole routine as written due to my patter line. Great linking card.
