I love Knot, Nut, and Rope by Giovanni Livera
one of my favorite purchases ever.
I wish I could have purchased his demeaner too!

I have been playing with a version for street or walkaround
my daughter Ling-ling videoed this the other day, so I could
see it as a spectator would view it. Be kind, ignore the silly
sound effects. Would not be presented as such!
Hope to use it this year, but Buskers Festival is not happening
and doubt I have another year left in my ol'back.

To those who have seen it, it does get good response.

Enjoyed watching this over my morning coffee, Nala. Thanks for posting.
Lots of magic happening in 3 minutes. Especially luv the ending with the nut coming out of the shoe.
Which got me thinking. (and as a magician, I admit, I someimes overthink these things).
but what a grand position you are in at the end the load another bigger object (big nut, even small coconut)into the shoe.
Not sure if you are familiar with the gag/trick.....but while dumping out the nut you are srealing a larger object from a back pocket and load it into the shoe as everyone is looking at the ground.
Anyways regardless, great to see you practicing and getting ready for hopefully another season.

Appreciate your comments guys, this wasn't a planned video,
Just checking the angles, even the Nut in the shoe was just impromptu, that's why the giggle from daughter !
I really like this and hope to get to perform it this summer somewhere.
I have 2 sets made up one lighter rope smaller nuts, and much heavier rope much
larger nuts for the street.
Just as easy either one.
The tossing across nuts from "On The spot" Gregory Wilson (he used coins" but most objects work, with practice).
One handed flip knot from "Knot, Nut & Rope" dvd, but adding the Nut onto the rope during the action is from
another very good DVD by Bob Miller & DJ Ehlert "The 'new' Relentless Ring & String Routine"
(funny thing though I still haven't mastered the move with the string and ring!)

I love the pass with the large nuts. Very well done. Also the laughter and smiles are infectious.

That was a lot of fun to watch. Very creative adaption of other moves to make a routine. I really like your character and style too.

I think Gregory Wilson got the tossing motion from Sylvester the Jester, "The Sylvester Pitch". Is that right? However, great routine!

Thanks for the feedback. it is appreciated!
Yes Hawkan, I originally saw the tossing move
at a Gregory Wilson lecture at Douglas College
in New Westminster B.C. And bought "On the Spot" to learn it.
He did call it "the Sylvester Pitch" , but if you watch the
Sylvester Pitch performed by others it isn't exactly how it's performed.
An adapted version I guess.

As not knowing if I'll ever get to perform this very much, I thought
by uploading it, it may interest someone else to learn it
and add it to their repertoire.

I enjoyed it.
Because I’m a magician and I do like magic. Some neat effects there.
Because I’m a magician, I like your presentation.
But, most of all, I love to see how much joy you have doing magic. And that’s because I’m human.

Thank you.

Still playing with this …. appropriate routine/patter to use is harder to come up with!

We are going out 1st time this weekend, looking forward to trying it out.
They are keeping a reserved spot for us weekly. so we know we have a regular hour!
Parking is an issue, we'll deal with it.

I have come up with a theme,... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPCN1imMhnc
this isn't it!
But we'll try it out Sunday!

Definitely the last year! the 9th! … bad back! I've said that before but know it this time.

I 'hope'(!) you and Ling-Ling,
a beautifull weekend,...together!

The 'right' weather.
Loving audiences.
...so you can have your peace!

As to your "..last year." comment,
I can only say:

Prisoners count the years.
Pregnant count the months.
Bullys count the weak.
A-love court the days.

Hours become ours.
Seconds become firsts.
A-love courts the days.

. . . . . . . . . . * .. .. . . .

You two have yourselves a good time.
,..then the circle will be complete!

Smiles and crossed fingers,

p.s.: I'm out, as well.
10* C and Politicians.
,..not the easiest theater.

p.s.: A good guy, here at the Café, Landmark,
once commented to me:
"The jokes write themselves,...don't they."

Keep your ears open!
The patter WILL come!
