One of the largest magic shops in the Netherlands, Magicshop / Magic From Holland has unfortunately been hit by a massive fire last night
leaving most of the store and it's inventory ruined to the ground. Ron and I need your help.

PLEASE Donate through the link below and help us rebuild our institution of magic in the Netherlands that has been around for many years.

Your help is greatly appreciated!

I would think being a business you would have to have insurance?

Take out some insurance.

I would imagine they do have insurance (of course, that's for them to confirm) but that doesn't leave you without costs after a fire destroys your business - not least of which is the interruption to your business and the work involved.

Love you guys.

Just donated with pleasure. I am so sorry about this horrible incident, and I wish you and Ron Timmer the best in getting back on your feet.

Your magic store was one of the most important in the Netherlands - it will return.

The Video is the News Report at the scene. Firefighters, storefront, and damaged interior.

Below is a translation from the linked page:

HEEMSKERK - Ron Timmer did not know what he saw when he inspected the shop of his 'Magicshop' in Heemskerk this morning after a fire last night. "That is a bit of a shock. The entire supply has been destroyed. Everything is black."

Ron was called by the police at 1.30 am last night with the news that his shop was hit by a severe fire. All walls are still there, but at that time it was already clear that the damage was great. "Yes, you saw that immediately."

Store stock in smoke
Although as a magician he is a man of illusion, he would have liked to believe that what he saw last night was not reality. Unfortunately this morning it turned out that it was. The havoc in his store was rock hard reality. "Everything black, the entire store stock in smoke. I knew only one trick to undo this. Unfortunately it is not there."

Ron is a positive person and so he puts his shoulders to the rebuilding of his store. He has no other choice. He is a popular magician and creator of tricks. The demand for its products goes on online. "The store will be closed for a while, but luckily we have internet. While there was a fire going on, the orders just went on."

World renown
Ron and his colleague Peter Eggink came up with a magic trick that earned them world fame. The two were the big hit during a big magic event in Blackpool. The trick with a can of coke and a coin goes around the world. He was also allowed to show the act in De Wereld Draait Door. And now this.

"That's how it goes, unfortunately. Sometimes you fall and then the art is to climb up again. I'm just going to put my shoulders under it. I see opportunities to completely redesign the store."

The Kennemerland Security Region says it has started an investigation. According to Ron, there has probably been a short circuit. The people who live above the store were able to leave their apartment on time. They have spent the night elsewhere. Ron: "Fortunately nothing has happened to them. They are doing well. Happy."
