They require a permit. $10 for a year.

I think they’ve cancelled giving any more permits until some kind of ordinance gets passed. Last I heard.

They mention locations in the permit application. When I was there about 7-8 years ago, the best spot seemed to be on the riverfront, where the tour boats loaded. There was a juggler/unicyclist that played the, pre, and would get some big crowds as folks waited for the boat. There were other spots along the river walk that seemed like they might work, but narrow, and you’d probably run into problems with crowds np but, coming tha walkway.

Lots of squares seem like they need good. The ones near the shops, and ones with a Forrest Gump bench, and Midnight In Garden of Good and Evil, squares might get lots of good play.

My wife loved Tybee Island. Lots of tourist traffic ether, but not sure if there’s a good pitch. Most folks on going to/from beach.

That’s all I know about Savannah, good luck and fat hats.

I was there a year ago for one night and permits were required but not enforced while I was there. Spots along the river walk were open, but buskers on the road parallel to the water were limited to which side of the road they could be on.
