Topic: Looking for recommendation on Dove Frame

I'm looking for a recommendation on a Dove Frame. I have been using an older imported model I don't recall the builder but it is finally falling apart, I did get my money's worth.
Tora offers one but I don't know the quality of their stuff, likewise there seems to be several models in the below $100 range I don't know the quality of.
I need something which will work correctly and last for at least a season of work, any of your experiences with current offerings will be helpful.
Also if you know a custom build who does Dove props let me know.

This question has been asked previously, use the search engine on the Café and enter Dove Frame, you will find several referrals.

I don't know of any prop maker that does custom work, they all like to use their own knowledge and experience. If you need something custom, find a good cabinet maker or wood worker. He will still use his methods, but possibly make the adjustments you need.

Advice, you get what you pay for, if you want something to last, the cheapest will not hold up. I assume you mean by a season of work, you are getting paid. So does the manufacturer of magic props he builds.

I noted when I found those other references, that the Lipan Dove Frame was referenced. Tora's props are not the traditional way of making magic props, they use methods, that may not work as well.

I want to update my post here because I didn't receive much information on currents products. Thanks for the couple who PMed me suggestions.

The products I search out first were what people have recommended in the past but I wasn't able to find anyone still having stock or any used.

In searching for current products I found a product offered by Tora, another offered by a manufacturer called Mr. Magic, and a lot of very similar looking things from China.
The Mr. Magic item and the ones from China may all be made by the same place but I don't know if this is the case.

After speaking and emailing with several dealers I ended up with the Tora Model.
This is the first Tora product I've purchased so I wanted to give a brief summary on this particular item.
I've read mixed reviews on Tora products in general from people commenting they are excellent to comparable to Mak of the 70's/80's to total junk.

So where does this come in?
On a materials basis I would give it a 9 out of 10. One the construction I would give it a 7 out of 10. On the critical artwork of the picture only a 4 out of 10.

Now Why?
The materials look good and the frame is very solid - 9.
Things are put together pretty well construction wise but the mechanism is super loud which makes construction 7 because more work needs to be done to quiet it down.
On the critical artwork only a 4 because whoever the "artist" was either doesn't have much art talent or intentionally made this somewhat cartoon looking.
Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase but will need to add my own work into dampening the sound of the mechanism and getting someone to airbrush better looking pictures.
The transformation speed is good just loud so I hope to be able to correct that.

I can't personally comment on the Mr. Magic product and/or the Chinese offerings but I didn't receive any positive feedback from the dealers I checked with.
Thanks to the dealers who answered question and yes I did buy from one of the vendors who answered my questions and is located in the same state I'm located in.

Hope this information helps anyone else looking for a Dove frame. Feel free to PM if you have any specific questions.
