Topic: Looking for a couple of simple "ring and string" effects
Message: Posted by: DougRoy (Aug 25, 2019 10:57PM)
Hey everyone!

As the title says... I'm looking for a couple of simple "ring and string" effects that can be performed at a moments notice.
Any suggestions/recommendations on any that you either perform yourself or you've seen others perform would be appreciated! :)

Thank you in advance!
-Doug

Greg Wilson's Ring Leader DVD is pretty comprehensive.

Hey! Thanks "DD"! Jim Ryan was a dear friend. I had forgotten about his little gem!
I'll go dig into my PHOENIX file. I remember Jim had written it up there.

Right! The New Phoenix #337

Jay autographed the cover: DICK, THERE'S SOME DAM GOOD STUFF IN THESE ISSUES....JAY MARSHALL

--and, he was right!

A lot of the fellows waited years for Jay to publish Nos, 349 & 350!

I attended the 100th ANNIVERSARY OF JASPER'S BIRTH IN CHICAGO IN JUNE. Had a great visit with Char Bontjes, and Sandy Marshall.

Thanks again for the reminder of Jim's gem. I used a chop stick with 5 Chinese characters on it. Jay's line as he pointed to the characters, was, "See it says right here on the stick: GOOD MAGIC SHOW HERE TONIGHT!"

Are we talking about finger rings or a 3" metal ring? My reference was to finger rin and string/

I'm talking finger rings.

If we're talking finger rings another vote for Greg Wilson's Ring Leader.
