Topic: Blackpool 2020 new releases
Message: Posted by: chuds (Jan 5, 2020 02:00PM)
With only around 5 weeks and counting until the world’s largest magic convention, what new releases have all you lovely dealers got to show.

It’s always great to have a idea of what’s available before you walk into the hundreds of dealers and like last year this can be a great topic to tease us with!

Regards Ian.

I will be releasing something very special created by me and Calen Morelli.

It is a state of the art gimmick for close up (no electronics) and I will have a first batch of just 50 units available. The second batch due to the extreme complex manufacturing process will be available in June.

This effect will only be available directly thru me.

I will update everyone with more info at a later stage.

@Joao: Blackpool only or also available through your website for those of us unable to attend?

Right after blackpool the effect will become available at my website.

Unless there is remaining stock leftover from Blackpool.

Probably another version of Cardiographic.

Anyone else have anything interesting to announce?

I have seen this gimmick in person like I say a good few years back , it’s magical yes but it wouldn’t be a working effect for me just a gadget which I am not adverse to just
saying . If this is the highlight of Blackpool this year though then you can poke it Gaz 🙂

There’s a good reason Blackpool is at the beginning of the year. It’s so dealers can’t offload all their crap, useless stock from the previous year to the unsuspecting.

You can’t pay a dealers hall only ticket anymore .
You have to pay for the whole day or weekend .
You can always get a ticket for the day or weekend even if you turn up on the day even if they say it’s sold out .
They have made it unviable for a day ticket as it’s only about £10 more for the whole weekend .
This will be my 24th consecutive year and I often just turn up on the day , it’s never a problem they will always take your money
Gaz 🙂

The good thing about the convention product wise is you get dealers / creators from areas in the world who are not online and are selling items you never come across again and they are just pure genius .
These are little gems that they don’t make in bulk and never sell the rights to the main stream dealers .
Plus you normally get extra special deals and you can also fully see the workings before you buy ( I can at least ) and make an informed decision from all dealers .
After all Magic is toys for adults in some degree and it’s great just window shopping if nothing else and see what’s out there .
Most of all though it’s a great atmosphere , you meet up with new and old friends and you see some wonderful shows .
Best wishes Gaz 🙂
Message: Posted by: Doric (Jan 18, 2020 09:44AM)
Three pages in and not a single new release detailed!

Are creators and dealers keeping their powder dry or have they all run out of ideas?

My guess is they are all waiting for the likes of Alakazam or Saturn to announce first, before they all jump in.

Absolutely correct Gaz, some of the overseas dealers have Fantastic ideas and products and I always come away with an effect which is pretty unique, the secret is if you like it on the Friday buy it as they only carry limited stock and always sell out.
Always great to have a beer in the Spanish bar and see what goodies people have!

Mark Masons 3 new effects for Blackpool 2020

Hi Everyone
Welcome to our first newsletter of the year featuring our brand new 2020 releases. We appreciate all of our customers support in our line of products. This will be our 32nd year in the magic business, WE THANK EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU.

It is exactly one week before we leave for the UK, where we will unveil 3 BRAND NEW ITEMS at the Blackpool Magic Convention. Be sure to come over and see them being demonstrated. Nothing beats seeing these effects done live.

1/ INITIAL SHOCK- MY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.

2/ KILLER IN MANILLA- YOU WILL JUST LOVE THE METHOD.

3/ COINCIDE - A BRILLIANT COIN GAFF.

PLEASE NOTE
NONE OF THESE EFFECTS ARE OFFICIALLY RELEASED.
THEY ARE NOT YET LISTED ON OUR WEBSITE.

ANY QUESTIONS
You can contact me by email
Email: jbmmarkmason@aol.com

INITIAL SHOCK
BY ALEX LATORRE

A spectator selects any card from the deck. They initial the face of their card, on BOTH ends. The rest of the deck is returned to the card box. The selected card is slid into the card box, so it protrudes for about half its length. No switch of ANY KIND, this REALLY is THEIR INITIALED CARD.
You now write your initials on the card box. In the blink of an eye, your initials jump from the BOX, onto their INITIALED CARD. You immediately remove the card and hand it to them.
Oh, one more thing... You also hand them the card box. IT'S FULLY EXAMINABLE.
Oh, one more thing... Nothing is PALMED or STOLEN away.
Oh, one more thing...Use ANY CARD BOX.
Oh, one more thing... It resets in 2 seconds and it is INSTANTLY repeatable with a DIFFERENT card every time.

A REAL MOMENT OF VISUAL MAGIC.. PRICE £25.00

COINCIDE BY PATRIK KUFFS

A brilliant idea, which uses a really clever method.

USE ANY DECK, ANY CARD BOX.

You offer to name a freely selected card under the most impossible conditions. You are so confident that you will name the card, you are willing to bet on it.

Here is exactly what happens.

A spectator removes ANY DECK from ANY CARD BOX and shuffles as much as they like. They now remove ANY card so NO ONE can see; even they do not see the card.

They slide the card into the card box. You now drop your bet into the card box - let's say, a half dollar, a UK £2 coin or Euro etc. The box is closed. There really is NO WAY to see in the box.

You take the deck and say, "If I cannot name the missing card in under 3 seconds, you win the bet and get to keep the coin". The deck is spread and you IMMEDIATELY name the card inside the box.

The coin and card are tipped out. EVERYTHING can be examined, the cards, the box, the coin, THE LOT.

Comes complete with a custom coin gaff, made to our usual INCREDIBLE STANDARDS.
You also receive, all the required props for a repeat second bet.

Each set includes

Magnetic gimmick holder and opener
Miniature shimmed card (2nd routine)
Custom made coin gaff

Coin Gaffs available in USA HALF DOLLAR, UK £2 COIN and EURO 50 CENT COIN. PRICE £50.00. YOU WILL CARRY THIS COIN WITH YOU.

OTHER COINCIDE SETS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE TO ORDER
MORGAN DOLLAR
WALKING LIBERTY
1964 HALF
SWISS FRANC
AUSTRALIAN 20 CENT
Contact Mark for prices on the above sets.

KILLER IN MANILLA
BY ALEX LATORRE

A METHOD LIKE NO OTHER!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS EFFECT.

A regular Manilla envelope is freely shown on all sides and is placed on the table. Any card is selected, signed and then lost into the deck. You claim inside the envelope there is a $20 bill (any currency can be used). If you do not find the card, they can keep the money.

A card is removed, unfortunately it is not the correct signed card. The Manilla envelope is opened, INSIDE is a smaller envelope. This is opened, in there as promised, is a $20 bill. The money is removed from the envelope. As crazy as this sounds underneath the money is ONE CARD. The card is removed; it REALLY IS THEIR SIGNED CARD.

This is so good, I wish I could just describe the method. The gimmick is so well thought out. I have never seen ANYTHING like this before.

KEY POINTS
ANY SIGNED CARD
ANY DECK
ANY MONEY (NOTE) - USA, UK, EUROS ETC
NO PALMING OF ANY KIND
ENVELOPES ARE IN FULL VIEW
THE CARD REALLY IS IN THE INSIDE ENVELOPE (NO SWITCH)
RESETS IN 5 SECONDS

BRILLIANT EFFECT, COMES WITH ALL GIMMICKS £30.00

I've got a couple of new things on the Miscellaneous Miracles stand - one is Stella Porta, a psychic spy / military remote viewing themed mentalism piece with 8 custom cards in which you test a punter's abilities to remotely identify targets (if you are familiar with my stuff then the 8 cards might be a clue to the method).

The other is Pythia Lite - a smaller, streamlined version of the Pythia utility prop (my release with Simon Scott) which allows you to divine a punter's birthday and even their lucky playing card using a slim horoscope book. We've made it much simpler to perform, and it fits in your pocket now. (well it fits in mine, not sure about yours tbh)

I shot a quick video the other day to introduce the new material:
https://www.facebook.com/phillsmiff/videos/10157969730256425/

I love Blackpool way too much and I'm looking forward to showing off the new stuff along with all the old favourites.
See you there!

So, MindFX will have potentially eight new items on the stand.

I will have both ‘Fragment ‘and the ‘Stereotypes Exist for a Reason’ lecture on DVD.
Steve Woods new book titled 10 Types.
‘The Connection’ packet effect which comes with two incredible effects that work perfectly together to form a fully fledged routine.
The ‘Black Door’ envelopes (FINALLY available in the UK).
‘Fully Naked’ which is a highly requested complete deck of ESP cards which feature my ‘Naked ESP’ marking system (much easier to read than my Beyond ESP set and comes split into two colors complete with additional fakes.

I am also hoping to finish two new booklets ‘Trident and Equilibrium’ which will be getting their first airing on the stand. I will also have a selection mentalism themed laser cut drinks coasters and a new accessory that will no doubt find its way into the repertoires of countless mentalists across the globe.

I will also be bringing a few copies of ‘Totally Free Will’ by Mark Chandaue and ‘Fake Genius’ by Steve Cook too.

All in all, I have a very busy few days ahead ;)

I look forward to seeing you all there!!!

Best Wishes Michael

No Choice Wallet
By Tony Miller

A Mark Mason Magic Exclusive.

18 months ago, Tony Miller sent me an idea using a small leather credit card/money holder wallet. Although I loved the concept, in my opinion, it really needed to be redesigned. Tony has now tweaked and re-tweaked this incredible concept. I was then set the task of thinking of a routine as good as the wallet itself.

Here it is..
A small credit card wallet is placed on the table. A deck of cards is GENUINELY SHUFFLED. The spectator removes ANY CARD. This card is slid into the clear credit card holder (NO SWITCH ETC)

The wallet is flipped over so to show a money clip on the back. Under the clip, there is one banknote. (ANY NOTE FROM ANY COUNTRY CAN BE USED). The wallet is HANDED TO THE SPECTATOR.

THEY remove the note from the clip. Written on the note, in big bold black marker, is: YOU WILL CHOOSE THE JACK OF CLUBS.

THEY slide out THEIR CHOSEN CARD. It really is the 7 OF CLUBS!

You claim they really had NO CHOICE. The SAME deck is handed to them: EVERY CARD IS BLANK!

You will love the method, it is such a brilliant idea.

The wallet is only 3 3/4 inches x 2 3/4 inches (9.5cm x 7.5cm)
You can put everyday objects inside, cash, cards, driver's licence etc
Also comes with other bonus ideas and handlings.

INCREDIBLE PRICE FOR THIS QUALITY AND EFFECT £40.00

Message: Posted by: cardbiker (Feb 7, 2020 12:50PM)
Lol, what’s the effect? The Jack of clubs is written on the bank note then they slide out the chosen card and it really is the 7 of clubs, brilliant I’ll have two

I will not have a stool in Blackpool but you will find my new book TRIAD to various dealers

“My friend, Luca Volpe, is a real pro. Besides constantly working live show, he is also known for his TV specials. He is a consummate artist! Now Luca has decided to begin a series of smaller booklets, beginning with Triad, explaining the amazing routines he has created for his professional performances and television appearances. They are all remarkable and use the simplest of props, usually blank cards, a couple of Ikea folding boxes and the like. And yet, with these basic materials which you can readily attain (Luca even gives you websites to help you out if you need it) you can demonstrate predictions and mind-reading of the highest order that will leave your audience stunned! Best of all, any moves or “devices” are so well covered, you never has to worry about the mechanics. As a matter of fact, Luca uses classic ideas combined with time misdirection and the like, which should serve as an invaluable instruction on how to construct powerful routines. Plus, Luca also gives some wonderful ideas to make your performance a strong promotional tool such as using a word from a client’s own promotional material as your target word and then giving him the cards used inside a black envelope with your name and info printed in gold! What a great idea!“ Invest in Triad! This is great stuff you will actually use! Richard Osterlind, 2020

I will be releasing my new product at Blackpool that is called Cube Tube. It's perfect if you do matching Rubik's Cube routines such as Venom Cube, Rubicon or CubeSmith as well as Rubik's Dream

Cube Tube is used as a storage container for two Rubik's Cubes and as a plinth to display and cover one of them. Cube Tube also enables you to do something you couldn't do before with Venom Cube and Rubicon: mix up your cube in front of the audience.

I will have fewer than 30 of these available as I have pre-sold 1/3 of my stock already.

Find my stand in the main Dealer hall this year.

AVAILABLE THIS FRIDAY AT THE BLACKPOOL MAGIC CONVENTION. IT'S £25 AND ALSO IN AN AMAZING £60 DEAL WITH 'STREAMLINED' AND A '52-1 DECK' WHILE STOCKS LAST.

Pre-Order Here: https://www.worldmagicshop.com/…/invisible-deck-kicker-by-d…

INVISIBLE DECK KICKER by DAVID PENN

Use this custom printed deck as an INCREDIBLE follow up to ‘Invisible Deck’ or as a stand alone routine. The ’52 on 1 Card’ has always been a great gag but David Penn has turned this gag into a fully routined miracle! A miracle that happens in your spectator’s hands.

Under test conditions, one card is place on the hand of your spectator. They are asked to name ANY card. You explain that if the freely named card is on the other side of the card in their hand then they need to get you a drink. They take that bet!

When they turn over the card and discover the ’52 on 1 Card’ it’s a great gag. Then ’52 on 1 Card’ is placed either face up or face down on the spectator’s hand.

Under impossible conditions, the card they freely name turns over, not in the deck, IN THE PICTURE on the card that they have been holding the entire time.

You will never get offered so many free drinks!

Brand new from the creator of Coinvexed, Mystery Solved, Topit 180 and The Gimmicked 52-1 Deck, this is INVISIBLE DECK KICKER by David Penn.

Invisible deck has always been one of the strongest effects for a magician and it’s about to be even stronger with this!
Patrick Kun

The 52 on 1 card brought up to date with some strong magic by David! Very cool! 52 Thumbs Up!
Angelo Carbone

Just get it!
Gary Jones

The Invisible Deck Kicker is KICKASS!
Luke Dancy

Coming out next week for Blackpool is a fantastic call back piece if you perform ID, but it will also work as a standalone effect. I saw this a few weeks ago and David blew me away with it!
Mark Bendell

Sometimes a magic trick comes along in which you say, "That makes so much sense! Yes. Yes. Yes. I need this!" That just happened to me. David Penn made that happen today.
His new effect has taken an old standby gag and he has turned it into a strong piece of magic that will make your audiences smile, think and say, “NO WAY!" This is great fun and I'll be adding this into my pocket immediately.
Jonathan Levit

This is the first product I will be picking up at Blackpool 2020!

As I've said before, the magic always happens inside the mind of the spectator, the method is simply the tool of delivery.

This will also get moments of astonishment.

This will be a mind-blowing

Not trying to spoil the fun here. If you like this and can make this work: good for you. However I personally can't see an intelligent spectator thinking anything other than "there was a hole in this, but you somehow closed it." To me this screams "puzzle". A beautifully made puzzle, absolutely, but a puzzle.
Taking the sticker off to reveal it's not a phone is a nice surprise, but if you think people will believe that you push a credit card through a solid piece of metal you are fooling yourself. It's just like cigarette through quarter: a surprising moment, but not something that will leave them mystified. To me this is Tenyo 2.0.

Agree that this metal phone is the old matches through metal block trick with a modern take on it, along with a modern price tag.

Industrial Revelation does not lock, so this is an update to the method. Let alone a new twist on the presentation with it being a phone case.

My initial reaction was that IR looked a little more natural as a block of steel exists- a metal phone does not. But the more I thought about it, the more I liked the oddity of the object and framing the presentation around it all being an illusion as even the phone is not real is a cool approach. Well done.

It fits all my performance criteria. Not cards, doesn't need a table, strong magic, can be performed surrounded and examinable. Im tempted already.

Industrial Revelation is examinable and does lock.
You can adjust part of the gimmick so its very very hard to open.
So basically it locks. No spectator ever opened mine!

You take something that is not available anymore, something that went well with the community and had a big success.
And then you produce it in a different shape.

This is copying in my opinion.
I start hating the magic industry, seriously.

I agree to some point.
But compared to the MatchBox Penetration the Industrial Revelation concept was a big leap forward.
The weight, feel, routine options. It’s a beauty. The buzz it created is very much justified.
A locking mechanism and another case doesn’t justify a new release for 250$ in my opinion!
It really saddens me how creators and the industry treat each other.
The Dice situation, Illuminati Magic, now this. Sad figures!

Disagree with this as others have said the match box is the same effect as industrial revelation which I have owned nearly 30 years .
I am not moaning about either of these new releases . Proper locking also makes a difference in my opinion although I wouldn’t buy any as the match box does all the job I need . It’s not a worldy of an effect imo so not worth £200 Gaz 🙂

More and more we will drift towards times where really fresh and new concepts will not be shared anymore because of disrespectful behavior.
People are like to save money instead of supporting originality.
So how to fight greediness, theft of ideas and a dog-eat-dog society within our small community?!
Maybe by inventing a “copy cat award“ for missing originality and creativity. 🏆😾
Nobody would like to get nominated but so many deserve it!
Btw. I really liked Roland Henning‘s “Weekly Magic Failure Blog“.

These greedy industry guys seem to notice a certain interest for a (in this case now unavailable) product and just copy it blatantly for private gain.
That is how it feels to me.

Jamie D. Grant I salute you for Industrial Revelation. Hope you get at least credits.
IR will stay far superior over this fake metal phone.
I did a big mistake when selling it in the past but had the chance of getting it again.

@Mr. Miranda, IR does lock very well and can be examined by spectators.
I never had any problems with that. Don‘t invent problems.
The heavy item presentation by Calen M. is also anything but new.

Firstly; there is a visual reason for those screws, as they emulate a camera lens (which unconsciously justifies them).
Secondly; unless those screws are played with by the performer during the routine, how would any spectator conclude that those screws are there for reset purposes? Or serve any purpose at all?

The performance I saw, one moment the block can be penetrated, next it can’t at all. I didn’t even register the screws until it was pointed out later

I don’t think the screws under the camera lens sticker have anything to do with the locking mechanism. Those are Philips screws. Joao said the lock is controlled/adjusted by a hex key. The hex screws are likely in the end of the device, in the same location an iPhone has screws.

Correct Mark.

One of screws resembles the headphone jacks entrance, and the other is right on the edge of the phone on top of the camera.

They really look very innocent and do not raise suspicion.

It is simply part of the aesthetic of the phone.

Thanks for your post Mark.

This is a great example!

You are not able to buy a product anymore and now you are happy to buy a indirect copy.
Please think about the meaning of a limited release...
You surely belong to the target group they are aiming for.

If you don’t care about originality iam sorry for you Mark.
Do you think it’s also ok to wait a few weeks until a copy (chinese market) of the copy is available? Possibly yes.

It’s Jamie D Grants decision to produce IR and you should respect that. Instead of claiming your “right“ to own it.

I m talking about the small "allen-screws" on top and bottom small-side...
i had it in my hand, not natural there at all in my opinion.

you could imitate such parts (and also the lens) in a solid block in a solid way too. and in my opinion puttin screws on something solid makes it unlogic... just my 2 cents...

Industrial Revelation with a phone..... very creative. 🥱
Wishing the magic industry would produce more real new concepts and ideas.
Something that has not done before and not just mere add-ons and improvements.

Yeah I was mistaken in my original reply, sorry about that.

The thing is the brass matchbox penetration was decades before industrial revelation so I don’t see how you can pull Joao up any more than Jamie .
I wouldn’t pull anything of them up unless you know a little bit more about the history of magic Gaz 🙂

To Doric and others I watched Voodoo needle properly today .
Hands up it fooled me , so much so I bought it as I was not going to ask the method for the sake of spending another £10 .
Method is really really great and you start and end clean , to be fair it’s genius .
I foolishly had overlooked this and thanks to Doric that’s no longer the case .
Best wishes Gaz 👍🙂

Anyone know the name of the new Mickael Chatelain matrix effect? Patrick Kun and Shin Lim both posted this guy performing it and comments said it was Mickael's effect. It was like matrix art, but the hole orientation when all 4 holes are together is different then matrix art. If anyone could shoot me the name and creator if it's not by Mickael Chatelain it would be most appreciated!

So managed to make Blackpool on the Friday, lots of new effects and happy to say lots of workers. My top picks were:

RSVP box by Matthew Wright. This is an updated version of his original RSVP box only instead of it being plastic, its now aluminium. I have used his original version in my set since release and so this for me was a no brainer. It went straight to work with me last night and it was great. A quality prop, lots of ideas and made to last a lifetime. For the worker, its a must if you love object to impossible location.

Transform by Saturn Magic. I always wanted to add the silk to egg effect in my act but never liked the idea of the egg. It seemed dated and so with Transform, a napkin turns into an 8 ball. A nice use of flash paper at the end to show the ball as a real pool ball and not a shell. Again a real worker and one not to be missed.

Also the Pool Ball holder from Saturn was great and for £10 a bargain for a neat holder

Interchange by Gary James. This I loved when I saw it and really felt it would work well in the real world. A folded card appears on a leather key fob, when removed (by the spectator) its their signed one. A quality prop and only £20 on the stand. This packs small and plays big. When I saw this performed on the stand, there was a lovely moment where the key fob is shown with no card in it, yet later on the card was there. No sleight of hand and all self contained.

I also loved the holders that Gary James offers too, he certainly knows his stuff and produces some great quality products great for the worker

In Focus by Joel Dickinson and Andrew Dean. Now I know both are regular workers and so once I saw this, I knew it would play well to a lay audience. A visual moment of Magic where a signed card or object can be pulled from the magicians lapel, leaving you looking clean at the end. Really nice and one I can't wait to try.

Flash Paper. Theres only one stand required for anything flash and that's illusioncraft. Great to see Adam back and with plenty of stock. The finest flash paper and all for a great price

Now I did have a look at David Penns latest effects and while good, I just wish the trailers were more honest with what is happening and what moves are required to obtain the end outcome. His invisible deck kicker is sure to work in the real world but for me, I prefer producing a thought of card from flash which is achieved by a 6 card index of most popular cards I have come across over the past 12 years or so I have been performing. Its a nice visual moment of magic and eliminates having to carry around another gimmick deck along with my invisible deck.

Its also worth noting that while I didn't purchase anything from JB Magic this year. Mark had some really brilliant effects and looking back, I wish I would have bought Initial Shock. as always Mark is a master at performing and really is a master when it comes to demming Magic and so seeing him do what he does best is always great at Blackpool. I watched him Dem Initial Shock about 5 or 6 times and each time the visual moment where initials jump from the card box to the spectators signed card really looked like Magic!! Even writing this, I am kicking myself for not picking this up!!

Warped Magic had lots of great products and I particularly like the Sven pads they produce and the rope which is the best I have come across at any dealer and super cheap. As always Darren is on hand to help and offers great advice on effects and Magic in general.

I hope the above helps and anyone at Blackpool this weekend enjoy!!

Final shout out to Harry Robson. A true gentleman of Magic, Happy to talk, advice and just be there for anyone. I know its his last year at Blackpool and so I wish him all the very best. I am sure he will be greatly missed and I was privileged he asked me to sign his T shirt!

Thanks DJ for the response. Unfortunatly I don't believe those are it. In those thr 4 holes don't travel and make a nice square like the one shown. It may not be a chatelain effect, but that's just what people said on the videos.

Thank you very much for all the great tips and feedback from Blackpool.

Please be clear that the word SVENPADS ®️ Is a registered worldwide Trademark sold by authorized Magic dealers worldwide. Each comes with a genuine hologram seal to verify authenticity. Each is handmade in the United States of America. Each is hand checked before it is packaged. Each comes with a lifetime guarantee for quality precision craftsmanship. More than 100,000 sold since 2015.

The copycat products that Warped Magic (magician Darren Robinson) are selling are not genuine SvenPads ®️ but rather generic Svengali type pads.

All good and well, but there is a big difference. The name SvenPad ®️ is not a generic name.

Take care and thank you.

We all knew what he meant, Adam. So it was a good description for everybody except Brett. Brett is posting this because of commercial reasons. I honestly don’t get what your reason is, though.

To be honest, if you're gonna be annoyed every time someone uses the word "svenpad" because its your registered trademark, maybe you should've chosen something that's not extremely generic. I used to sell sven decks, and in my note book I had a trick that required a "sven book" (that's the abbreviation I used), and even in my notes I have written "sven pad", way before you started manufacturing them. Maybe you should've chosen something that isn't the typical abbreviation? Something cool... like "Lazer Pads" or something :)

All the best,
Dan

Gaz, I know where the matchbox version is coming from and I your point.
Fact is, without Industrial Revelation there would be no strange phone full of screws.
So IR at least should get credits. But they just mention the old version and “some others that didn’t lock“.

The original matchbox version did not exactly open like IR did.

If you can’t get IR anymore which version you would buy:
The matchbox version or the phone? Hope you can see my point.

Letters is a modern tool for the mentalist who wants to add a simple and powerful effect with a strong impact on the audience!

Jérôme Sauloup developed this routine in 2016, wanting to add a playful side to mentalism. By integrating the theme of the world famous board game, Scrabble®, Jérôme makes a lasting impression.

The routine is simple, the mentalist throws a paper ball in the audience to select a spectator who joins him on stage. A transparent bag filled with Scrabble® letters is presented and the spectator picks several without looking at them. The choice is totally free!

When the mentalist shows the word formed by the letters, all you have to do is invert 2 of them to create a real word! Even stronger, the spectator opens the paper ball he had on him since the beginning and the word is written on it ! The prediction is perfect!

Versatile, Letters allows you to reveal ANY WORD IN ANY LANGUAGE IN ANY SITUATION. The letters have been specially sourced so that they are readable from a distance. The specially manufactured Scrabble® tiles holder will do all the work for you in a very clever way, allowing you to concentrate on the presentation. His CSB set is fantastic and well priced.

If someone could please provide a link to Jupiter's Facebook page, please. I've searched repeatedly and all I can find is the Jupiter's Magic beauty products company.

Thanks!

Mark

If he is old school like me ( which I think he is ) it’s unlikely he is on Facebook .
I would be surprised if he even has a smartphone tbh Gaz 🙂

Thank you, Graham. I found him on Facebook but, like Pegasus, I can't figure out which one of his effects is the card effect referenced in the video from Blackpool. I'm not sure if it is even listed on his page.

Hello Mark. If you click where it say's shop now...All items should show-up, but he is not very explanative with his item's and there are no vid demo's. But the card effect you might be referring to, I think may be called (Changing Cards) and the coin effect shown is listed as (Eisenhover dollar set with matrix routine) but looking at the picture image it may be named Jupiter's coin Matrix ?

Make sure to check out Jeff Prace's table (PLAINSIGHT) and see MON-KEY and PENROSE PENDANT they were both the hit at magi-fest
I now own both Mon-Key and Penrose Pendant. Between the two, I'm more impressed with Penrose Pendant. It works beautifully and there's no way a spectator is going to figure it out. It is rare to have a piece of magical apparatus that is cleverly designed and also so highly examinable without taking something away or adding something. Particularly at a $40 price point.

Mon-Key is also very nice but it's not as precision as I expected (for the price). It works great and it isn't less than its description but a curious spectator will be able to tell that it's not an ordinary house key.

Not disappointed with either purchase, I'm just more impressed with Penrose Pendant.
