The Eclipse Comic deck is a reproduction copy of a deck dating back to 1876. The deck is especially noteworthy for being a transformation deck, which means that the pips are cleverly integrated into the artwork on the cards.

The Eclipse Comic deck was was the very first transformation deck printed in the United States. A reprint is currently up for funding on Kickstarter here. It will be produced in a higher quality edition than the prototype, courtesy of printing by USPCC, makers of the famous Bicycle playing card brand.
