Topic: Best Place to Buy High End Custom Blackjack Table
Message: Posted by: CARDTALK (Mar 29, 2020 06:34PM)
I am looking to buy a high-end Blackjack/Poker table. I would really like to be able to have one totally custom made. I have a few criteria that are proving rather hard to find. Firstly I am looking for a table with folding legs and even better able to fold in half as I would like to store it away when not in use. Also, I want one without a dealer's tray. I can find cheap, low-quality folding tables with no problem but am looking for a high-end spec with a professional playing surface.

I have had a look at some of the main casino companies buy they are not fully customizable. Any ideas would be much help!

Thank you guys

Chris

If you go to Chip Talk there are guys there who make good poker tables, but I think you have to have a set of chips and post a picture of them to be a member.

Hmm, I cannot find the site now.

Thank Tommy, It really seems like good quality folding tables don't exist. I have seen a few tables for $300 but don't think the quality will be there for that price.

Iím in the same boat. Gave up on looking and started buying materials to build one myself. Not many excuses now with the current global situation... I should probably get started.

I was actually thinking the same although my carpentry skills are nearly non-existent. I don't have space for a 10 player poker table but I want a large table so I can start pitching cards.

These do custom felts in your neck of the woods.

Chip Talk seems to be dead now.

Thank you Tommy, I appreciate the link, it seems like they just make custom felts and not actual tables but it is worth giving them a call.... thanks!

Did you see the link I posted? They make regular, as well as folding tables, using quality materials. And many of them are customizable as far as accessories. You can get them with a dealers rack, without a dealers rack, different surfaces and armrest materials, etc. I'd be willing to bet you could even get the Blackjack Pro folding table without the dealers rack if you asked. The BJ table is also adjustable in height for standing or seated play. These are not the kind of tables you would find at Wal-Mart for$125.00.

They sure are some great tables

The ones they make for man caves are nice but they are not high-end professional tables. Real high end Black Jack tops are too heavy for flimsy folding legs and can cost thousands. Used ones like this Abbiati go for and about £1500 here and it will cost about £300 or so to get a custom cloth and get it recovered. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/E-QAAOSwe-tdvKSJ/s-l1600.jpg

BBO has some great tables, I will contact them and see if they can accommodate a table with folding legs and even a folding table.

Those Abbiati tables are quite something Tommy!

We make our poker tables, sort of; we get the timber merchant to cut the wood to size and we bolt it together. We get the guy from the billiard hall that covers the billiard tables there to do the rail and lay the felt, which he supplies. We donít have custom layouts though, just a betting line. The timber merchant owner asked for an invite and he is now a regular player here. That is perhaps the cheapest way to do it unless you do it all yourself.

I have a full-size blackjack table and a full-size hold 'em table in my house. Both came out of casinos and are professional grade. The BJ table came from a casino in Colorado and I've owned it for over 20 years and the poker table came from a downtown casino (Binions, I think) and I've had it for about 6 years. So here's the thing: buy a "knock down" blackjack table. The legs don't fold, but you can take the table apart for storage. I don't think you'll be happy with the folding variety. Ineveitably they are too flimsy. You'll probably find that you have to plug the chip tray hole and refelt, but I'd hold off on doing that for a few months. First figure out if you really need to do that. You may be surprised at how fun exploring chips moves can be.

Finally, if you're just looking to pitch cards, I'd racommend a giant pad by Pattrick. He can make you one that's 36" x 48" if you ask him to. I know, because I have 2 of them and both the Johnny Thompson books and the Steve Forte books photos were shot on mine. They're great.
