Topic: Bridge sized Bee brand cards
Message: Posted by: George Alexander (Apr 21, 2020 05:05AM)
Dear wise Café members

Does anybody know where to find bridge size Bee brand playing cards? I can't find them anywhere. Do they even exist? I am looking to get some for card manipulation. I have used the poker size for years but my hands are quite small and bridge would be easier.

Thanks in advance

Yes, Bee brand playing cards are still available. If you can't find them you are not searching correctly.

Try this: United States Playing Card Company or USPCC, Bridge size Bee Playing cards red back.

Hi, George ,

USPCC used to make Bee cards in narrow size (they designated them "narrow" , not "bridge"), but I don't know if they still make them. However I do see them pop up on eBay . In fact, I just did a quick search of eBay and found a seller in Las Vegas who has a case of a dozen packs of new Bee narrow size cards for $100.00. (this is as of today, April 22, 2020) If you think you'll be using these narrow size Bee cards frequently, it seems like a good idea to get a dozen packs of cards. Note that from the photo the eBay seller posted , it looks like the case of a dozen may be six red-backed and six blue-backed (if that matters to you).

I won't post the link to the eBay sale because in a week or two it will be out of date, but if you go on eBay and search for 'One Dozen Club No. 92 Special Bee Narrow Size Playing Cards New Sealed' you'll find it. Also, if you search for 'Bee Narrow Size Playing Cards' you'll find some other eBay sellers offering single packs of the narrow size Bee cards.

I would make sure to ask any eBay seller if what they are offering are authentic USPCC-made Bee cards , because there are knock-off Bees and Bikes of low quality on the market. The seller from Las Vegas selling the case of a dozen probably got them from a casino, which means they are most likely authentic Bees. Some of the eBay sellers offering "brand new Bee Narrow Size" single packs are located in China, so, no offense intended , but caveat emptor ...

I checked every card that USPCC currently makes and the only Bee cards currently available from them are Standard Club Specials and Jumbo Index...they currently only offer the narrow or bridge size in Bike Rider backs..I think they quit making the Bee versions ..I haven't seen them generally available for a long time..

Here is a Bee Deck in Poker size.

I would also check with Haines House of Cards in Norwood, Ohio. It is possible they may still have some on hand.

I've noticed that people that want the bridge size Bee for manipulations don't realize the poker size when softened correctly curve better. I have small hands and used to think that before I learned all the ways to soften cards for manipulation. When in the B/P, the cards curve.
