I bought my first non-Adams magic trick when I was eight years old. It was nickels-to-dimes. I got it at the magic shop at . . . FREEDOMLAND in the Bronx. Anyone remember it? Jack Shalom |

Where's the "Bronx"? :) |

Not The Bronx... Da Bronx!!!! Yes, I remember Freedomland. My parents took me there a couple of times and I remember it being pretty cool. But that much land was worth too much money so there it went. I don't think it was around too long, was it?? Take Care, Vincent :die: :magicrabbit: :die: |

The land it was on is now a huge apartment building development called Co-Op City which has been there for many years now. I don't think it lasted more than five or six years. Someone could probably write a very interesting book about that place which would involve New York City politics, cultural history, economics, and sociology. Jack |

Jack, You know that's not a bad idea considering there are enough of us still around to form a half-way decent market. Besides, it might be a lot of fun. Vincent :die: :magicrabbit: :die: |
