Topic: Able to "pin" specific Forums?
Message: Posted by: bassinator (Nov 19, 2020 10:41AM)
Is there a way to "pin" or "subscribe" to certain forums that we read regularly? To explain a little more, maybe a section towards the top of the home page where we can save the forums that we most frequent rather than having to scroll down the page and find them each time. Or maybe something in our Profile similar to how we can subscribe to a specific topic. I was not able to find any past topics on this, but could have easily not gotten the right search criteria.

If this isn't already a function that I'm just missing, is it something worth pursuing?

You cannot subscribe to a forum however you can subscribe to individual topics. You'll be notified whenever a new post is made in that topic. You can however shorten your search. I see you post a lot in the money forums. Follow these steps.

1. click on the title "welcome to the Magic Café" It's the first forum on the index page
2. This will give you a window showing each forum heading
3. In your case, click on show me the money and a iist of the three categories is shown
4. Click on the one you are interested in, such as "trick coin trickery" and all of the topics in that forum will be shown.
5. When finished, click on the MagicCafe logo and everything returns to normal.

This may not be exactly what you are looking for but it's the closest thing we have. As to pursuing the ability to pin forums, that would be up to Steve Brooks.

Okay. Thank you for the input Mr. Scribner! I have stumbled over your solution in the past, but it is good to see it written down.

I do normally lurk in other topics :) so there are a few that I like to at least read through. Maybe Mr. Brooks will consider it someday too.

What I do is create links in my Favorites toolbar in Chrome.
