Hello everyone.
In your thoughts, what's the best use for decks like this?

Bizarre magic with stories?
Readings?

Or... ?!

I never use decks like this because they are not natural decks the spectator is use to and thus can scream gimmick. They are pretty but pretty is not what bizarre magic is usually about.

In my experience black decks aren't made with black paper and the edges tend to show wear and tear much faster. This is true for all decks with art and color to the edge but it stands out more with the black on white contrast.

Side note I outright reject the idea that a deck with art screams gimmick to the spectator.

I have never found this to be true. I have only ever been accused of using 'trick cards' one time by a laymen, and at the time I was using a standard deck of Bicycle cards.

Laymen buy cards are places like Wal Mart, Walgreens, CVS, Target, etc. Those stores all carry custom designs now, including black designs. Bicycle Cards' store carries custom designs as well.

There may have been a time when people were suspicious of anything that wasn't Bicycle Standard/Rider Back, but that is not true at this time. People are absolutely used to seeing a variety of playing card designs.
