Topic: Union Rubber UR-148 Rubber Cement Vs. Elmer's No Wrinkle?
Message: Posted by: Sanukk (Jun 5, 2021 02:16PM)
I'm in the UK and sometimes Elmer's No Wrinkle Rubber Cement is hard to come by (normally it's fine, but there are dry spells). Has anybody here tried Union Rubber UR-148 Rubber Cement? If so how does it compare? It's not going to break the bank to just get some and try, but if somebody here already knows the answer, there seems little point in spending money to reinvent the wheel. Failing that, any other rubber cements that are as good as (or even better than) Elmer's? I'm just after Rubber Cement, not glue sticks by the way.

I use rubber cement from auto parts store that is made for tire repair. It is thinner than elmers and works great. I even bought some thinner to thin out the elmers I have left.

I always use thinner on Elmer's (and not just because I'm Scottish LOL). I tried some puncture repair rubber cement a few years ago and it was terrible.
