Topic: Question about Tri-colored Silk?
Message: Posted by: Regan (Aug 26, 2004 12:28PM)
Where can I find a tri-colored silk made up of red, yellow, and green colors only?

Duane Laflin has a 12" just like I need except it is red, yellow, and blue.

Thanks for your help.

Depends on the quality you need. Magic Goods has one (18inches) that's part of a Blendo effect. Here's the link: http://www.magicgoods.com/BlendoPlus.htm
The quality is not going to be anywhere that of P&A or Rice. It looks like a very lightweight silk. I will probably order two sets from to practice a reverse blendo effect I am working on. You could contact P&A, Silk King Studios (run by the Rice family), Richard Hughes, or Dazzling Magic to see if they can make you a custom made one with in a 6 or 8 momme weight so that it lasts you longer. You may be able to ask the folks at Laflin Magic to see if they can custom make one for you. They made me a custom made flat zippered change bag. Although if you look around, I'm sure you may be able to find one somewhere else. Good luck!

David Ginn has had silks with that colour scheme before, for safety magic themes. Duane Laflin used to have them at one time, sorry to hear he doesn't now (or are you only going by the website?)

Donald,

I just looked through his website and only found the red, yellow, blue set there. Does he have other inventory that is not listed on his website?

Its pretty normal for Duane to have other items that are not online. Call the office and ask.

At least from my past experiences, there have been items in their catalogs or newsletters that weren't online. That is one of the benefits I found in subscribing to his Happy Magic and his Seeing Truth monthly newsletters.

I thought Warren Stephen's Splendo came with a tri-colour silk. Duane sells Splendo, and it is possible that the colour scheme may vary from that pictured.

Thanks Donald, and thanks to Jimmy and Kregg also.

I will contact Laflin Magic and see what is available.

Contact me and I will give you a price when I know what size and weight silk you want?

Thanks for responding Richard.

I am needing such a small quantity I didn't figure I could get it custom dyed.

Right now, I am only needing 1 red, yellow and green (probably 12" and probably 6 momme) to try out.

If It is not too expensive I would also like to have a red, yellow, and blue & a red, white, and blue in 12" size, and in 18" or 24" size. The larger silk would probably need to be 8 momme thickness. I might possibly be interested in a Tri-color Blendo instead of the larger silks too.

I don't know if you would want to do such a small quantity, but I will send you a PM when I am sure of the size and thickness I need, unless I run across some already made. It may take me a while to get all my silk plans ironed out. (Pun intended)

If I decide to put it into my theme park shows I may need several of all the 12" tri-colors I described.

I hope you can make some since out of this.

Thanks for your time.

I do ones and twos all the time.

Just let me know what you need and we will go from there.
