Be very cautious buying illusions from China (IMO). Also, you must practice this. You can't just pick someone out of the audience. Jim

It could also be "Rhino Flight", available from Jeff Jones in the USA.

P.S. There is some debate about Spontus 360 vs. Rhino Flight. I believe Spontus comes from France, and Rhino from the USA, and then there are the knock-offs from China. So, be sure to do a search for both product names on the Café (and on the internet), to do your homework.

I believe that Dal is performing with a Rhino Flight in this video:

I think there used to be a video on the Rhino Flight website, featuring Dal performing that illusion. But I'm not sure if this is the same video, or a different one from a different show.

ZeeGee, if you're going to spend that kind of money stick with Jeff Jones. Jeff is a great (and local) guy and you can depend on him. If you have a problem with the prop Jeff won't leave you hanging. Jim

What do you mean local? I'm not local... ;-)
I've decided to go with the original Spontus360.com ...
We actually have locals manufacturing "similar" effects here in Israel as well and I wanted to avoid that to begin with.

Thank you all for pinpointing my search! Smile

Still would love to know the differences between the Spontus 360 vs. Rhino Flight. Is the consensus that this is pretty much the same prop?

Elsewhere on this site there is a link to a video of a Chinese levitation jamming at the top of it's cycle and the young magician sweating it out as he wonders what the hell he is going to do in front of the large restless audience.

Magicians think that by 'moving up' from a suspension to a levitation that they have enhanced their show, but quite frankly the smaller, less expensive ones leave me cold. They tie the performer to one spot and leave the assistant with their legs dangling down from an undersized support which rises painfully slowly.

If you are planning to use a child on it then might I suggest Jim Steinmeyer's 'Hot Air' suspension from 'Device and Illusion' which has input from John Gaughan. As well as the plans you also get an entertaining routine and patter. Do it right and your audience will be as mesmerised by a prop with no moving parts as they would be by a piece of complex engineering.

Mickey Haydie's "hide-e=table" from Paul Osburnes #3 book gives a nice rising levitation with the simplicity of a"SupperX".
Less than 2% of reported UFO's turn out to be actual interplanetary vehicles.
