Hey,
Anyone had experience using a pocket inside your coat to hold a rabbit instead of a traditional dove, or know of any ideas? I want to produce it as a finale for my 6 min. manip. act. Any help is greatly appreciated! |

There are some references in the Tarbell Course that may help.
It has a lot to do with your body configuration, wardrobe, and size and weight of the rabbit.

Hey, what volume is it in the Tarbell? I own all 8 and do not remember seeing anything. I own a "hotot" rabbit, pure white bunny with black eyes, and natural black fur around the eyes, gorgeous rabbit. Anyways, he probably weighs no more than 3 pounds and the size is around a full size guinea pig. Thanks for the help.

Look in the indexes; you should have no problems finding it. Tarbell has some great gems buried with in its pages.

A rabbit bag can be placed in your back near the tails. Several magicians walk on stage with a duck in their tails area. The steal must have some misdirection to work.

It is in Tarbell under rabbit production. I think it might be Volume 4.
Shucks Bob, I don't have a duck tail (never did) and the rest of my hair is not receeding but in full retreat!

Evan,
If you can hang the bag from a table instead, it will certainly help you to have the mobility during the rest of your act. Richard, do you remember James Dean? Or are you going to plead youth? Bob Magic By Sander |

Just a little before my time. I was still watching Captain Kangeroo.

Hey great idea, any ideas on how to keep the bag closed? My rabbit is a little escape artist.

Johnny Thompson (aka the Great Thomsoni) has a funny story about getting a tux for a rabbit act custom made and then being destroyed by the rabbits peeing on it. They will go anytime, anywhere and it will ruin clothing or any cloth material over a very short amount of time. Plus, you would go broke buying Febreeze to cover the smell on your coat!
