I need help!
I have just bought the 3 1/2 silk and it didn't come with any comedy routines. Can you please give me some ideas! Thanks heaps! All I got was the Silk and nothing else. No directions, no routine, just a silk to blow my nose on. (You would get wet hands if you tried doing that!) |

Maybe it would force you to come up with your own original ideas and routines rather than store bought tricks... therefore... I am being helpful

My question is:
Can you please give me some ideas for the 3 1/2 and how you have seen it used? I would really appreciate it! Posted: Feb 10, 2005 7:35am ----------------------------------- At this stage this is what I have. (This is for a kids show). You get a child on stage to help you and you hand them a white silk as you turn back to your magic box you drop the silk so it drops on the floor. (I find kids laugh at this). From your magic box you bring out a rolled up piece of card as a tube (A4 size). (Inside the tube hidden is a silk polk and the 3 1/2 of clubs). You then get back the white silk from the child and start loading it into the silk polk as you say a couple of funny oneliners, etc. Then you hand the tube to the child to hold and bring out a packet of cards and force the 7 of clubs. (You do some funny stuff here too). Then you say to the child we are going to do a math test and this will work out what card you have picked. Are you ready? (you can get the child to show the card to the crowd so they can help)? You say, times the number of the card you have by 3472, (some far out number) and what have you got? Can't do it, OK, we are in the poo! (This should get a laugh, but you don't want to make the kid look dumb). OK, cut the number you have in half, like if your card is the 10 of hearts, the number will be 5 of hearts. Do you understand. Ask the kid to show the card to the crowd again and everyone will work out that it is the 3 1/2 of clubs. This should get everyone starting to laugh as you look as if you have a problem on your hands. You ask the kid to take out the silk from the tube and of course it is the 3 1/2 of clubs. Sorry about the spelling and I hope to get some good feed-back! At this stage this is what I have. (This is for a kids show). Excellent Harry! I'm glad you could work something out that is completely yours and original. A few suggestions would be to tell the audience that the silk or handkerchief is a psychic handkerchief and it can read the childs mind. So have the child concentrate really hard on the handkerchief, and if you want to send the image of the childs mind faster to the silk you can do a loud grunting noise gritting your teeth together and sometimes stomping your foot to the ground. Kids will laugh really, really hard at this. Just a few suggestions, hope I helped a little

I love it! Of course, kids and math these days, I'd be surprised if any of the little doylers would know what half of seven is. I asked a grade school squirt and got "Seven doesn't have a half!" Well, duh... what a dummy I am!
