Its great to be here at the Café. I have been reading here for a while, but now I'm ready to put in my two cents and not be so shy.
I am 43 and have been doing magic on and off for 30+ years. Most of the stuff I have done in the past was self working. I do balloon sculptures, and have been a performing musician for 28 years. I now have a strong interest in restaurant, strolling and things that happen in the specs hand. I really like Andrew Mayne, his illusions are on the edge with very little props. 6 months ago I started doing some card sleights thanks to Dan Turcotte's youdomagic.com. I have always loved magic, and I'm honored to share the same web space with the likes of you. Thank you,

Right on.....I too strum the ole 6 string from time to time. Just to let out some of my pent-up creative energy! What type of music to you enjoy the most? I lean towards rock/alternative.

Welcome to the Café. I wish this site and the internet were available when I first started magic back in high school and college. The only way back then to review magic tricks was to purchase it and see if it lived up to the description in the catalog. It would have saved me a lot of money that I spent on the worthless tricks.
Now, before I purchase a trick, I simply pose the question to the Café members or at least read all the threads on the subject. Welcome and enjoy the Café. |
