What are some of the routines that those of you who do the strait jacket escape use. mine is just I tell a little bit of history, and then explain that I have not node the escape in a while, if I claim to have done it at all, then I struggle for a min or two maybe fall to the ground and look pittiful, then I escape. I do it really convincingly, I accually had famly members who have seen me perform it time after time think that I really could not escape, and that I needed help, so I feel it works well. so what do you do with it, or do you still do it at all?

Hey there, what sj do you currently use? I use a posey jacket at the moment, complete with front and side loops. How do I use the sj??? Well at present I'm training to do it under water. The physical training is going well (thanks again to Steve Baker for helping me with this side of things), but I've hit a few barriers. The first is actually getting someone to stick to letting me use the pool. I have had many who have said I could use their's only to back out. The second is what we call the Health and Safety Executive here in the UK. These guys set rules and regulations that have to be met. Now because I'm using divers as part of my safety crew I must adhere to these guidelines. The obvious answer would be to get rid of the crew... yea if I was MENTAL, plus without them no-one will give me pool time.
I hope this answers your question. Cheers and take care, Ros

Oh I forgot to mention that I have an ungimmicked straitjacket with a croch strap(just adds to the looks not really too difficult after the first time). the company who made it is humane Restraint co. Inc. to add to the effect I have the person putting me in it really wrench the crotch strap (the audience seems to like it I do not though... so I endure the pain for the audience) I love to do the escape.

LOL...take your jacket in both hands and say..."I'm going to do something Houdini never thought of doing with a strait jacket"...then pretend to blow your nose in it. Gross but it gets a good laugh.

My gag is the "escape Houdini never did in public".. SJ escape in three inch stilletto heels. I also sing an industrial rock version of "I Want To Break Free" whilst escaping.

How about putting a good size wad of cotton on the crotch strap and tell the audience that you are still a little tender after the last time it was hitched up so tight. (might get a laugh, well the women should , always seem to at a man's expense)
