I'm new and I'm confused about a few things. When I log in, nothing seems to indicate I have logged in. Also, the FAQ says I can change my profile/password, but does not explain how to do it. It mentions a profiles page, but does not explain how to access it. Also, when I log in I see no search button or feature. Thanks in advance for any help.

Jack, when you first log by entering your username and password, what do you see when you click on the log in button? You should be seeing a page that has the forums and in the upper right corner of the page will be a group of buttons for profile, preference, meet the staff, and private messages.

No, None of those buttons appear when I log in.

OK. Go into your browser and delete your cookies and temporary internet files for the Café. Be sure to clear both www.themagiccafe and themagiccafe. Then try logging in again. If all works, you'll see the missing tabs in the same area you see the FAQ.
Do you have a firewall installed? If the above suggestion fails, go in and check the settings on the firewall and anti virus program. If you use a Norton firewall, their autoupdates sometimes cause problems and the settings must be reset.
