Well it arrived in the mailbox. I took it home, created the proper circle of protection and opened the envelope. What...you never do this? You never know what may happen with dark tomes such as this
I gotta say I am really, really enjoying this publication. Like Issue 1, Issue 2 is full of great contributors and real gems of Bizarre thought and magick. The list of contributors is growing! This issue includes BROTHER SHADOW, Kenton Knepper, PETER MARUCCI, LEE DARROW, geez a dozen in total aside from TC Tahoe! If you haven't subscribed, you need to or you'll be haunting eBay in a few years, selling your soul to get a hold of some copies. Save yourself the trouble, you'll need that soul for harder things to get. Getting Mind Over Magic is easy. http://www.tctahoe.com/mom.html Legend has it that Issue #3 will contain a sumthin' sumthin' from Shawn McMaster, who gave me the willies in Issue #1 with "The Dolls". If you have Issue #1, you know what I'm talking about. If you don't, you know where to start your subscription! Support Great Bizarre Work! So Mote It Be

Clifford also has a great review in the Issue #2. Great writing through out. All this for only $25.00/ year. A bargain already, with only the 2nd issue out.

I too think that this is an excellent issue. I waited for the 2nd issue to see if it would be as good as the 1st ... I think it is even better. A nice mix of Bizzarre and Mentalism, and hey, I like the ads too.

I, too thought the first issue had some good stuff - I just wish it was edited a little better. There were too many typos, misspellings and grammatical errors. However, I think it is pretty much a one man production and it's not like he doesn't have other things to do . . . .

Sahee:
Yea, the typos and grammatical errorrs bothered me at first, as I used to be a proofreader and copy editor MANY years ago. But, it is really difficult to find your own typos and errors. This seems to be an issue showing up in many of the home-grown publications cropping up in the magical community. Things definitely improved with the 2nd issue. I always recommend that one hire a professional proofreader for any publishing project. Dave |

Thanks for the kind words guys...
Yeah, I know Issue #1 was a little rough with regards to typos and grammatical errors...As I promised in issue #2, I will be more vigilant in the future… Hopefully issue #2 was a little easier on the eyes. Thanks again for all you support. TC http://www.tctahoe.com |

StrangeMagick is right, it's hard to proof your own stuff and #2 is a heck of a lot better in this regard while having the just as much great content as #1.
Good stuff, Maynard.
