Hello, i just created a new effect, and it will be marketed. The question is how i can put coryright on it.

According to copyright law, the copyright comes into effect the moment the work exists in any tangible form (readable by human or machine).
If you expect to have a good chance of defending the copyright in some future legal dispute, however, you should register it with the U.S. Copyright Office (assuming you're in the U.S.; other countries have similar procedures). To register a work, you need to submit a completed application form, a non-refundable filing fee of $30, and a non-returnable copy or copies of the work to be registered. Visit http://www.loc.gov/copyright/ for details, and a copy of the application form. Understand, however, that copyright only protects the expression of an idea; it explicitly does not protect facts, ideas, systems, or methods of operation. For these, you need to consider patent protection, a much more complex (and expensive) proposition. ... Doug
