I have been a big fan of the Firesign Theatre since 1972 but have never been to a live performance or ever watch a video of their performances.
The Firesign Theatre will be performing "Don't Crush That Dwarf, Hand Me The Plier's" and "Waiting For The Electrician Or Someone Like Him" here in the Seattle area on March 26 and before I go I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has actually been to a performance, just to get an idea of what to expect. Good or bad I am still going anyway. Iven "Shoes For Industry"

Is this that show where a chap suspends large metal objects from his man-thing?

No but that would be cool
Firesign Theatre is "Theatre Of The Mind". The Firesign Theatre tells stories usually pertaining to History, Government, Science, Film and general observations of Life and Society using parody and satire to tell their story as well as playing with the English language and using old antiquated jargon in humorous ways. "Waiting For The Electrician or someone like him" is about the early explorers of North America and how Spain and later the European's came to this country and exploited the flora and the fauna as well as the indigenous peoples (Indian's) who where already living here. History when told correctly can be very harsh and not very complimentary. The Firesign Theatre has a way of telling this truth in a comedic way. Iven
