Matt and I have never officially met, however we belong to the same professional organization. It appears that he has 3 more records under his belt according to a new publication.
-Longest Oral fire retention -Fastest Under water escape from handcuffs -Fastest escape from handcuffs Way to go MTK, perhaps I'll see you on the tour! Congratulations! |

Thanks so much for the congrats Scott!
They were actually broken back in October but Guinness made them official at the end of January. Right now a few friends of mine and I are working on a new project which looks like it'll be running in New York City sometime in the Spring. During the first show I expect to break one or possibly even two more records. -Matt (TK) |

Scott,
that's the APCA mag, right? (If so, I was told that it was in the breaking news section. Is that wahta you're talking about?) David, The retension was 23 seconds The underwater cuffs was 11 seconds And I broke all three records on the same day Plus as many of you know, plans are already underway to break a couple more records very soon. Donster, Thanks! Cheers, -Matt (TK) |

Matt-
Congrats on the records! That is great! Which cuffs are you using for your underwater escape? Take care, Allan |

Allan:
As it is with all of the handcuff records, in order to satisfy Guinness' requirements you must use whatever the police put on you upon arriving. The officer must be independent of the attempter and as such until you get there you have no idea what they'll be using. They also have to be the ones who restrain you as well. Ergo, you've got to be ready for anything (at least within reason). So I didn't know until I show up what I'd be in. As it happens, that day it was a Sergeant’s set of Peerless handcuffs that was double locked on to me. Cheers, -Matt (TK) |
