I cannot honestly recommend Vitamin C. The bill appears folded and lying on the center of the lemon, not sticking up or rolled. I do not care for the method as well. I am not familiar with Malone's routine, so cannot comment.

Thanks for your response, I think I'll go with Malone's method then.

P.S. If there is any other method of the SIGNED bill in lemon you would like to recomend please do.

Although I do not own Vitamin C, I agree that the effect is not as strong when the bill appears as it does in Vitamin C.

I do, however, own the Bill Malone DVDs. I love the Bill to Lemon presented on volume 2; entitled Counterfeit Spectator. It has an entertaining presentation, clever and not too difficult method, and a strong effect.

I think it is obvious which version I prefer.

It looks like I was a moment too late with my response; anyways I hope you like Malone's version. I agree that the signed bill in lemon is the best way to go.

Although I am not familiar with the routine, I have heard good things about the routine presented on the Doc Eason videos. I think it is the Steve Spill version, but I may be wrong. So you might want to look into that routine, as well.

I would have to say I like Hunter's Vitamin C. The biggest selling point of this effect is that you can have the spectator(s) pick out the lemon or lime freely in the open. Sure the bill is folded but it's still the signed bill. I don't see the reason why the signed folded bill is less amazing than a rolled bill. I have both the Doc Eason's and Bill Malone's videos. Doc Eason's method requried a large audience participation. Bill Malone's routine does not seem that impressive to me. I don't get why you need to put the lemon in your pocket in order to load the bill. If you want a stright to the point signed bill in lime that has a good clarity to the audiences that you are the magician, then go with the Vitamin C.

Larry Jennings has a trick called High C in his book Neoclassics that is very good..it is a card in orange not a lemon.

Manuel Muerte in his DVD " Done by Misdirection" has a a nice method for bill in lemon. This is worth checking out. Yes the whole DVD is worthwhile. If you saw the DVD "The Movie" then you know who Manuel Muerte is.

Doc Eason's "presentation" requires some audience participation==not his "method" The method, from Steve Spill, is direct and incredibly effective IMO

I happen to personally know Rudy Hunter, he is a clever and talented magician and mentalist in fact we are in a show together in April. He and I regularly discuss the point I have made in other threads, I am about to make now in this thread, and am going to continue making until someone gets it. Method is the least relevant part of any magic effect. The effect and a convincing entertaining presentation are the most important and most relevant aspects. Which pass, switch, wallet, gimmick, or move is really a function of personal preference and possibly skill level. Agreed that some elements of certain methods are more aesthetically pleasing to magicians and therefore more comfortable in their hands and to their minds. The bottom line is to try as many of the methods as you can and settle on the one you can present in a convincing entertaining way.

I have seen Doc's version and Bill's from their DVD's. The are both great. Barrie Richardson's version from "Theater of the Mind" is excellent as well. I have performed both Barrie's and Bill's. I really like Malone's method as it is simple and direct. One thing I don't like about it is having the lemon in my pocket. Even with a jacket on and loose pants I feel that the lemon is obvious. I think the trick can be just as effective produced from somewhere else. I am working on some alternate presentations. Would anyone care to present their ideas?
