This isn't a fair question to ask, as there isn't really a standard. Depending on the type of event, amount of exposure, audience, etc. the amount can vary.
Especially for a restaurant, magicians (myself included) may charge less due to increased possibilities of getting outside work, and the steadiness of the job. I've done dozens of free events, where I wanted to support the charity in question, and I've overcharged for those times when the client wants to feel like they're paying for the Statue of Liberty Vanish. It's all relative.
