Green or not, welcome. Always room for one more. We were all newbies at one time.

Nice to have you aboard. I have done magic when I was in high school and college some 25 years ago. One thing you have at your disposal that I did not back then is the internet. I could have saved a lot of money on worthless tricks if I had this web site at my disposal back then.
I have found it helpful to do a search on this site before I purchase a new trick. Others will tell you if it is any good and what routines they use to make it better. Keep in touch. |

Thanks for the welcome everyone I know having this here is going to be invaluable and I have already gleaned heaps just from browsing the dining room.

Comic1, hmmmm. Does that mean your interested in comic magic?
After a year in the art you must have come up with some favorite illusions. What are they? |

The vanishing cigarette (tt) which was the first illusion I saw performed by my mentor remains a favorite because when I first asked how to learn it as a layman he took out a 50c piece and rolled it across his knuckles explaining that to learn how to disappear a cig I would have to learn this basic move first three weeks later and with a couple of palms and the french drop working he then introduced me to some basic card sleights, once I had a good grasp on these he sent me to the local magic shop and instructed me to buy the invisible deck and to ask them for a tt.
This way instead of giving me the secret he gave me a passion and rewards my dedication to dexterity with these little gifts. Thanks for the welcome
