I usually do not name names, but I have to on this one.
I was watching spike tv yesterday and saw the video of Jason Magic's burning rope jacket stunt going badly. Here is the news. It wasn't the one I saw before!!!! Here in the Detroit area, where he is from, the one I saw was too much gas on the rope and it ran down setting him on fire. They lowered him in the lake to put him out. On Spike, he got free but the flame on the platform was too much for him to get around to get the other rope, and the whole thing turned into him, again setting him on fire. HE HAS BLOWN IT AND SET HIMSELF ON FIRE AT LEAST TWICE!!!!! Kinda makes you wonder if he EVER has done the darn thing. However, I ASSURE you he is hurting those of you wanting to book a stunt like this. Kinda why I go off on a rant now and then..... |

That is too bad...especially since I am in the process of trying to secure a spot here in Chicago to do that very escape....well, aside from the setting myself on fire part...

Third time's the charm, huh?
"What's your drug?" she asked. "Hope" he said, "The most addicting one of all."

The escape? Or burning?
Who knows what permutations of showmanship pulse through his veins.

I thought it was three times and your out. or maybe he likes/enjoys getting burned. and I'm surprised by now that he has not leasrned to wear non flammable clothing.

I just saw it repeated on "Extreme exposure." I'll say one thing for him, he was smart enough to do it over a body of water. But as ill planned as it seemed, he's lucky he didn't drown.

It is beyond me how anyone who calles himself a professional
can be so STUPID,not once but twice! This is just the sort of thing that gives all who perform escapes a bad name! You would have thought that after the first time,he would have changed his method,... If you don't learn from your mistakes, you may kill yourself or someone else!! How many would-be escape artists see this display of STUPIDITY,and think "How Cool",what a great way to get publicity.... More accidents or a death!! Someone needs to get a hold of this guy and shake the C..P out of him before he kills himself or someone else! Steve |
