Effect: A card is freely selected; the spectator signs their name on the face of the card, and the magician signs his/her name on the back. An envelope is introduced, and the spectator is asked to open it up, and remove one of the pieces of paper it contains, and to examine it if they wish. After the paper is selected, the freely chosen card is visually ripped into four pieces and wrapped up inside of the chosen piece of paper, lit and in the blink of an eye, the paper along with the shredded up card has vanished. The magician shows his hands empty and his sleeves rolled up. The magician draws attention to his pocket, and slowly and fairly reaches in to grab none other than the spectator’s freely chosen card!!!
Available for $6 from http://www.magic-notes.com . Guys, this is one of the best and strongest T & Rs going and for the price, you cant complain. James Watkins, the inventor is a great guy, and his technical thinking in magic is top notch, especially for his young age. There are also 7 different handlings and a bonus effect, what more could you ask for????? It is simple, highly visual, and I know James has more handlings in his head for it, I know as I have contributed to some of them. If you want a visual t & R that you will use and make an impact on your spectator, then this is the trick for you, the angles to this are great as well. The price, as I put above, is only $6-that works out to under $1 a routine as there is a total of 8 included. You won't get a better value for your money. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand, and there are many top quality pictures as well. For $6, you really cant get a better T & R than this for less than atlest $20-$30 Pros: Visual Easy Free Selection of card Spectator and you both sign the card Affordable Cons: To be honest, there are no Cons, and if you find any, well actually you wont I'd just like to congratulate James on a great trick and something I know I will definately use. If you don't like the trick, there are still some very useful tips for you |

Thanks Chris, for both the posts on Phoenix Rising and Supernatural Possessions. I have pretty much given up on the hope that Phoenix Rising will see booklet form or something, but hey, it MAY be possible...

Do you need the exact link to the file? Or did you buy it, and it didn't give you the link to download it?
If you need the link to buy, here it is: http://www.magic-notes.com/thenotes/detail.php?product_id=58 Also, there is an UPDATED file. I will send it to anyone who has bought the manuscript. Magic Notes and The Magic Anarchist site don't have this one.. so if you have bought Phoenix Rising, please send me a PM with your PayPal address to verify, and I will hook you up. Later, James |

Hmm..downloading the video nw,
sounds like a nicely put together routine..however..I'm fairly concerned on the idea of mixing several strong effects together... |

Hi,
That is understandable, but it really isn't a problem. In fact, if you don't like the MAIN handling, there are lots of other alternates you can use. One I include is an ACTUAL flash restoration, in the NEW manuscript.. If you order, you will have to contact me to get that one..., and one where it goes under a close up pad. The card CAN travel ANYWHERE you want. It doesn't have to be in the pocket. Later, J.W. |

Any other way to purchase this ? I am frustrated, Indonesia is not on the Paypal's list. Any other payment method ?
I have lost many chances to buy e-book because of this issue. Please help !! |

Hi, for now, PayPal is the only way because me and the marketer are splitting it 50/50, so this is the most convenient way for us to do this.. sorry for the frustration. I am WANTING to put this out iun DVD format or booklet, so stay tuned, and maybe with an act of god it will happen lol.

That's true JW. But, huhhh I have lost many chances to get cool materials. I hope they can cover more countries ASAP.

I know.. I get quite a few e-mails from people who are in countries that are not covered by PayPal, an sadly, I have to tell them the same thing. I am wanting to sell the rights, so maybe soon a dealer will have it.

I just thought I would share a recent quote with you all. It really pleases me that this is getting some high name endorsements... Here it is
"Phoenix Rising is a VERY simple, VERY direct, and VERY usable torn and restored card effect. Unlike many other T&R effects on the market today...Phoenix Rising is for the 'real world' performer. The fireball ending will definitely get the attention of the entire room!"-Cody Fisher of MUM Magazine- Creator of effects such as Impossible Card to Any Wallet, Killer Card Trick and Las Vegas Aces I just had to share that one. Cody was also kind enough to give me his little twist on the routine. I will ask his permission to add it. It seems great! Later, James |

This effect is fantastic. I purchased it from lybrary.com and used it for a show recently. It went over big. I really like this effect. It's structured incredibly well.
