Yes, Cameron, I am aware of that. But you are talking about fuzzy (full size) tennis balls, where it is very easy to “hide” a cut in the fuzz. The balls I am talking about are about 1.5 inches in diameter. They have (for the most part) a smooth surface. I cut several of them open to different degrees, however the balls are so small, that the cut must be almost half the circumference of the ball to expel the innards.

All I was trying to do was give some magicians a quick fix if they discovered the balls the purchased where a bit noisy. The cut needs only to be about a ¼ inch, (more like a hole than a cut) enough to stick a very small nozzle into, and walk away.

Somehow, it would seem, there is a need for an academic discussion over a very trivial, quick fix. I must confess that I wish I had never bothered to mention it.

From some of the responses, it would seem that others wish I had not bothered, as well.

I am taking by balls (and super glue) and going home.

LOL,
Bob

If your balls rattle, should make an interesting, final load!

Mine used to, but when Frank Starsini sent them back to me in the mail they didn't rattle any more.

The bill in lemon detracts from the final load.

Odd, that's how Mike Ammar finishes his Cups and Balls routine.

And then after removing the bill from the lemon he puts the lemon back together and puts the bill back in it and gives the restored lemon to the spectator.

No one seems to mind...
