How much do you want to spend? That's important in deciding what rings to get.
I am away and will be so until late July. I will have a chance to read the forums, but I will be pressed for time, and unable to read every thread. If you feel a thread requires my attention, please PM me with a link. Thanks, and have a great summer. :

Not $400.
Something less than that. That is why I was hoping for a used set.

$400! That's ridiculous! I got a beautiful set, a key, two loose, two linked, and three linked, for only $60. And that was new! and shiny! Where are there sets for $400?

At the $400 a set ring store.
I already have a set of the $50 rings. but I want them to "ring" nicely and look thicker and .... all that.

As Frank indicated, the quest is for "nice rings" and the $400 Zone is what you'll pay for Owen Rings. They are worth it.
Have you tried ebay, Frank? Best, Mark Weinkle |

Pick up 2 sets of the Magic Makers rings. Nice weight, tubular, plated. 13" diameter, 3/8" tube. My only complaint is their tone. No problems doing any of the moves with them. I do a lot of Cellini type ring work. I still want a set of Owens, but these will get me through.
