Hope they do it justice... and it's in the same league as the rest...

Anyone got that one?

Didn't fly over my head. I have been waiting for this movie to get off the ground for nearly 10 years! Brandon Routh looks just like Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent. Almost like he is back from the beyond. Lets see if he can pull off the split character. Smile

Up, up and away!

Hope they do a live theater someday using Magic's "Flying" techniques and Quick Costume Changes Effects!

That'd be so neat to have Superman in REAL LIFE flying over the audience (ala Peter Marvey) to the stage!

Don't you think?

I still say that there is only one Superman and that is George Reeves.
Just my tainted personal attitude Smile .

I wish they would just do the "Dark Knight Returns" story as written. It has the big blue schoolboy and offers a more modern yet not revisionist take on the story.

Likewise I don't get the launch while WB has "Smallville" running. There could be much better stories to tell if the movie covers Clark Kent's first few months in Metropolis.

The Doomsday beats and Cadmus project material from an older version of the script has been used in the cartoons. I've no idea where they will go to make this a fresh story.

But that Brandon Routh they got to play Supes now looks so eeriely like Chris Reeve when he's Clark Kent it's spooky...

And the flying rig they got for this movie's fx is outta this world...

I think it's the birth control glasses that do it.

Tell us what you know about that flying rig. Any similarities to Copperfield's set- up?

Completely different set up than Copperfield. Much better than his too.

Because they are using a 3 axis rig to fly in any and all directions. I don't know in full detail. But go to http://www.bluetights.net to see more info.

I think he does look a lot like Reeve, but he's got this petulent inflated look to him that just puts me off. And it looks like they went with the "Batman" style heavy fabric cape. (It almost looks like leather in the photo I saw) And a minor tick would be the plastic "S" glued to his chest. All in all, it's going to have to be a great story and he's going to have to do one HELL of a job to overcome this first impression!
