Easiest way is to put it in your pocket and come out with another deck... it is the timing and what you do that makes it work.
Any boxes or whatever YELL foul play.

Tommy Wonder (lecture video) has a deck switch like Pete Biro mentions above. Also the new Bob Fitch Topit DVDs teach two different deck switches and several effects using them (and a Topit, obviously).

...If you insist on buying a prop, then go with the Deck Shell. And the video, too. Forget the Fantasio box - looks a bit too, er, boxy.
Done properly, the Deck Shell should be invisible. Highly recommended. Dr. Zordas |

Aren't there any sleights for this ? I have 3 ways of switching a gaffed deck for a normal deck in plain sight that don't involve the case that I made up in my first month using cards . There must be a host of ways to do this surely ?

Vernet deck switcher is the Fantasio switcher. My Pimernel card box uses exactly the same principle in a quality prop and was on the market several years before the 'Fantasio' card box 'appeared' claiming to be 'New'
This is not 'sour grapes' - I think it is important to establish and record the origination of props and effects in these days of copies and rip-offs. |

I've read that 'Black Hole' by Peter Loughran can be used for switching decks.

I own your original Switch Box and can attest to the quality of the prop. It "looks the part" setting on an end table in the Magic Room. (It does not look like a Magic prop.) |
