Mr. Fisher,
You mentioned a Peter Galinskis (sp?) in your book. Could you tell us more about this mysterious figure? I would love to know about him and I'm sure the rest of the Magic Café would too!! Thanks.... Asher

Nice picture,
Peter Galinskas is an old friend. He would be more well known in magic if he wished to be. Unfortunately, he does not. He became the student of Frank Thompson in the early seventies. As Frank became sick, he began to transmit his knowlege to Peter. I personally knew Peter for the better part of a year before I ever saw him execute anything, and when he did, it was like watching a spaceship land. He taught me much. Most importantly, he taught me how to study magic. Through Peter, I received a classical education. In this life, you will not always have a teacher, even if you are fortunate enough to have one right now. His job will be to teach you tricks, sure. But more importantly, his job is to teach you how to teach yourself..... I wish you guys could see Peter. I don't think it's going to happen. But not seeing him might be, in the long run, even more helpful......you just have to believe. |
