In Mickey Hades book, Expanded Encyclopedia of Escapes there is a shackle
escape on pg.31 with a diagram of the shackle(Figure 14).
Does anyone know where a shackle like this can be purchased already
made? Thank you in advance for your help.

The year is 2001.

This is lengths of chain with rings here and there and five ovals. I'm sure that you can get it custom made to your measurements. Try Cannon's Great Escapes; they did some nice custom work for me, quick service at a fair price.

If its just a chain and a few rings. you can also try your local hardware store. and a local welder.
