Never heard of McBride being in, but I remember hearing that they would sell something by McBride in the HL store, but I don't think he will be in this DVD.
To topic: They both are very talented and Jeff McBride has god great talent for card manipulation and Daryl for magic, I like Daryls performance style a lot, glad I will meet him in a few months, I'll exchange a few words.

Comparing apples to oranges, since they both do manipulation but for two different types of effects, both are very good teachers, both excellent world class performers. In fact I study videos from both.

Yeap, they both owns.
I see McBride as the worlds greatest manipulator, but, donät get this wrong. As there are loads of better cardmanipualtors, coin manipulators and so on, than McBride, but, he does it all, and he can do everything good. He handles balls, coins, cards, thumbles and so on. That's why I think he is the best manipulator.

Yup. They both do different things, with different style. So no use comparing.

I didn't even know daryl did flourishes, other than the few cuts on his tapes. I thought he was just a magician..
Stick to the classics,

You can learn a lot more from the McBride videos than just "how to do stuff"...
Study the parts of him that AREN'T involved with the cards - the way he moves how he presents himself his attitude/persona his facial expressions - this is a BIG one. I videotaped myself practicing these flourishes when I first got his videos. Ehhh, you had to see some of the ridiculous facial expressions I was making!!! My niece and nephew would watch this tape over and over, laughing themselves to tears at Uncle Pete's goofy faces!! Ha, there's a LOT to learn.... |
