Had to take advantage of your expertise and ask you what books would you recommend on the sideshow arts.
Also since I'm not as adventurous as the rest, are there any books on pseudo sideshow stunts that I can read up on as well... Thanks... |

If you want to know about the world of the sideshow, pick up a copy of the Best of Shocked & Amazed by James Taylor. Also, Memoirs of a Sword Swallower by Dan Mannix is a must read. That book inspired many to find out more on the sideshow.
As for how too books on pseudo skills, Andrew Mayne has some writings on the subject and Tomas Medina did a Geek Magic video recently that has some lovely shocking things on it. |

Staying kinda on topic, what is the best resource for all things Georgia Magnet (or similar)?

There was a very nice write up on the Georgia Magnet act in the old Jinx magazine. And the guy the just wrote the book on Anna Eva Fay, Barry Wiley, did an earlier work on Lulu Hurst. I don't know if methods were talked about in that book.

Chance,
I'm sure that you would also enjoy The Georgia Wonder, Lulu Hearst and the Secret That Shook America by Barry H. Wiley. I saw the late Brian Flora present five-year-old Hillary Flora as The Most Powerful Little Girl in the World with some Lulu Hurst stunts. I didn't know anything about the stunts at the time, and it floored me. Yours, Paul |

That is the book I was referring to. I haven't read either of the Lulu Hurst books, but I look forward to doing so.
Actually, I just moved a bunch of stuff into a new storage space. A ton of that were books. Books that I read, enjoyed and refuse to get rid of. I am still sore and stiff from the experience, so the idea of add MORE books to the load is not that appealing. Still, the desire to learn outweighs whatever conservative impulses I may have. |

Todd, Paul, Thanks very much for that! I have been looking everywhere for good information on those kind of stunts.
Paul, you wouldn't have a copy of that book laying around, would you? |
