View the video at Penguin magic. They sent me an email saying that they were GIVING these videos away to anyone who placed an order with them. After viewing the sample vid, I can see why.

Has anyone who's actually seen it post a review?
Just curious

This is Michael Bairefoot. The coin in the balloon is a great trick. It was a hit at 4f. I am sure bsears is an attendee there. It also helped me win the strolling olympics at IBM for all around best closeup and best comedy award.

Coin in the Balloon is an amazing trick. I have seen Michael perform it up close and personal. It a very amazing trick and the rest of the dvd is amazing as well.

Great dvd! I love the effect, one of the the more beautiful closeup pieces out there.

Hi Bairfoot. The strolling Olympics is a spoof award, but don't fall off your pedastal. The problem is that the effect, method, and the bonus card effect have all been around long before this DVD.

Genii magazine review graded it very negatively.

Yes, in fact the Genii review said it should be taken off the market due to the apparent theft of some of the material on the tape. Stay away! Send producers/creators of unethical material the message that we don't want it.

We have it. We got it as something extra when we bought the "Pierced baloon" trick from east coast. We actually fooled a physics professor with it at one of my mom's company picnic/things. Go figure.

Thanks for the information Monethrower. All the reviews were good one. Mum, Magic.about.com, Linking Ring. The one bad was Geni. If you look at the 4f write up it even said "a unique magical effect." I also would like to say I gave credit to everyone on the DVD it was cut out of the final master DVD. I also, really like the vanishing knot effect on the DVD. David Acer saw it at 4F and loved it. It fooled him, and a host of others. He is suppose to be printing in one of his up coming articles. Well enough of the DVD I just hope it has helped someone else's magic get better.
Posted: Oct 23, 2005 4:33am Hey John you might be right. Did you see the whole DVD? Its kinda like your expanded shells they have been around a long time you know. But, when one does something different with it becomes special. And that's all that I try to do with my magic. Thanks for the information. But, personally I have never seen anyone spin a coin in a balloon. Then be able to control the coin (slow it down and speed it up). |

If you like this effect, go see my version that was published before Michael's in David Acer's Seven By Michel Huot Booklet. The spectator Himself Throws the coin in the Balloon...

Michel, I do my own signed bill to balloon all the time.
I use it for close-up, strolling, stand-up. Everywhere. So.. that's the only balloon effect I do. I have not read thru your version yet. I promise I will shortly. Frank

I started developing my own version of signed coin to balloon, and when I googled I found this DVD. The idea came when I noticed how cool & effortless it was to spin a coin around in a balloon. I'm assuming my version is similar to Michel Huot's version, where after it goes inside, you can see the signed coin and then pluck it out. One difference might be that it's plucked out when the balloon is deflated.
