Hi Mr. Wagner First I would like to thank you for all the magic Ive learned from your books and videos. This post is concerning the amazing invisible Palm style assembley Dyslexic Queens. Ive been performing this effect for 4 years now and its definelty one of my very favorite card routines. The problem Ive been having is other magicians saying that I go to fast while performing this. When I perform for laymen they love it but I do agree that maybe the whole thing goes by really fast. When you perfrom this routine you go at a very fast pace and Ive duplicated that in my performance of it. So my question is this, What can I do to make each vanish and reapearance have more of a dramatic impact on my spectators? Thank You for your time Mr. Wagner!

Hi Pauly, First of all, you said your layman spectators liked what you did with that effect. Are you saying your Magician friends say your working to fast. What due you think? Try it one way slowly for your audince and see if there's a difference in the over all performence for you. When we perform in front of other Magician's we sometimes go to fast because we are either nervous or we are trying not to screw-up what we are doing. If you normanly perform at a different speed or rhythym be aware of it and see if there is a big difference when you perform Dyslexic Queens. Hope I have helped you on this Pauly. Let me know how it works for you.
Best, J.C.

In December of '06 I was diagnosed with a very rare cancer, Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans. One in a million people worldwide are diagnosed with this type of cancer annually. Sarcomas account for 1% of all cancers. Knowledge is power!

Hey J.C.
How long have you performed the Dyslexic Queens effect? Michael |

Michael, Since around 1981 I think. Played around with it and showed it to a few Magicians and got a good response from them. I used it nitely at Magic Island in my close-up shows. Always got a good reaction. Do you perform it yourself?

Ok just got back from performing at a club tonite. I performed Dyslexic Queens about half way through my set. I performed the vanishes very slowly because I think that I was making them vanish too quickly and not letting it really sink in before. The only time that I had any kind of fast rhythym was during the 4 queen display count. Slowing down this routine during the vanishing phase by letting each vanish sink in really helped. Mr.Wagner I truly think you are one of the greats in the game and really have to thank you for all the inspiration and knowledge you've shared.

Edh, It's simply a ASSEMBLY and DISASEMBLY of the Queens. They vanish and assemble with leader Queen and you show that all four Queens are together(like a four Ace effect) Then you vanish them in the leader packet, back to thier orignal packets one at a time! You are clean at the end and there are no Gaff's whats so ever. It's preety Magical looking. Hope this helps you understand the effect better.
