WOW!!!
If you haven't seen it yet, you need to check out the Steve Baker website (www.mrescape.com) for belt #3. This is my belt and is fitted with Clejuso model 15s as well as a crotch strap! I'm really looking forward to recieving it and having a play. If the comments so far are anything to go by then this is going to be one crazy escape... I can't wait! Take care, Ros

Ros,
Now those are killer cuffs! They must weight a ton! I’ll bet that postage from California to the UK must have been almost as much as the belt cost! Your belt sure has a wicked mean look! Mr. Baker has outdone himself with this one! I liked the new feature on the site where the photo changed by moving the cursor over it. Good luck getting out of that thing!

Just took a peek at it; that's the best one yet.
I wonder if one of Steve's belts would work well with an adjustable Darby? Steve

Steve just confirmed: ANY handcuff will work on one of his belts.

Yep, any handcuff will work on this belt. In fact, Mr. Baker constructed the belt such that one can change the handcuffs with just a little work. So if I get tired of the look, feel, and handling of the S&W 100s on my belt, I can change them for something else entirely.
Mr. Baker anticipated almost everything in building the belt. I thought I had come up with a neat addition to make the Belt even more imposing and impossible. Well, I talked to Mr. Baker and he had already thought of it! Nope, I’m not going to tip it until I get it built and see how it works in performance. I suspect that most of the other Belt owners have also thought of this little addition.

ITS HERE!!!!!!!
The first miracle was the fact Steve posted it on Monday morning, it's now Wednesday morning.. not bad eh? US to UK in under 48 hours. Anyway, back to the belt. My first impressions were "Oh my God, what have I got myself into? This thing's a bear!!". With hands turing from a lovely shade of pink to red and finally to a dark purple colour I thought I'd have to yell for the key, but I finally got the cuffs off and was able to get to work on the locks to release the rest of the belt. In total the whole escape took me about 6 minutes. There's absolutly no instructions so I had to work it out myself. I wouldn't recommend this prop to just anyone for two reasons. The first is this is a professional prop for the professional performing escape artist or serious escape student. As I said, it doesn't come with any instructions. The second reason, which is completely selfish and the other owners of the belt will understand, is that I really don't want anyone else to own this thing. I want it all for myself. I'm just glad there's only 25 . A quick word on adding your own cuffs. Make sure you have worked out a way to get out before you order your belt. I'd even suggest you get in touch with Steve and discuss possible ways of doing it. Don't forget, you have four padlocks to worry about as well as the cuffs . I'll post some pictures of me in the belt for all to see as soon as I get chance. Thanks again to Steve for releasing this belt to the escape fraternity. I look forward to performing it. Take care, Ros

Hey friend Ros, it’s been a couple of months since you got your belt now. How about an update on how it is working for you? Pros and Cons would be nice. Is it working out as you expected, better, worse?
Have you managed to get much use out of it? If so how about a solid review? Thanks in advance for your time and trouble!

Hey there,
The belt is great! I've been using it for select groups of people at uni, friends and family. They've all loved it. The moment it came out the case produced gasps. Real life gasps of disbelief. I hadn't even put the thing on yet. I've even locked people in it. I've given them all the keys to all the padlocks and the cuffs and they can't get out. It's cool to see them struggle. One guy was in it for over an hour. Determined to escape, but failed! To be honest, at first I struggled to get out. The whole thing is ungimmicked. Not the cuffs, the locks, nothing. So far I'm down to about 5 minutes. Not bad considering I started out at about 12. I'm going to be using it for WEAR. I'm adding it to my Chrysalis escape and have called it a punishment belt. Think belt, plastic bag on the head, slave collar, chain and locked bodybag and you'll have my WEAR escape. The belt adds that something special that no-one will have done before. Others have done bodybags, but no-one has done it like this. I have to say that this prop is NOT for anyone starting out in escapes. It is hard! You really need to know what you're doing or you're stuck. I'll be able to post more once WEAR is over. I'll be putting it through its paces as I'll be performing in the open. Any downsides? The time it takes to be put in could pose a little problem. But then that can be covered with performance skill, so its not really that big a deal. Just goes to prove that this isn't one of those off the shelf, everybody has one props. And nobody has one like mine. I'll be posting pictures once WEAR is over too. Catch you all later, Ros
